A slightly late blog post today, as I've been busy reading all day, in addition to preparing for this weekend, as I'm heading to Oslo, Norway's capital city!

Every August, there is an event called Sexhibition; the biggest Nordic erotic convention. It's been going on for decades by now, but I was able to attend for the first time last year, and I absolutely did...

That sounds like an incredible time! That's really awesome that they offer so much including sex therapists. Looking forward to your next blog!
ojtheviking:
@teva Yeah, it's really popular over here. This year was their 30th anniversary! Must be the pagans in us who love to feel liberated 🀘🏻

Well, whaddayaknow? Another Friday has crept up on us like a predator pouncing on its prey! ...then again, that sounds like a negative thing. It's more like coming home, somewhat tired from the week, and as you turn on the lights, Friday jumps out from behind the couch, throwing confetti at your face, blowing a party horn, and yelling, "Surprise!"

Do tell, friends, how has...

Doing this tonight! Yesterday, I was given a gift card to a movie theater as a birthday gift in advance. Couldn't have asked for more perfect timing since Alien: Romulus premieres today!

Rejected promotional slogan: In space, no one can hear much of anything, so conduct yourself accordingly.
ojtheviking:
@jozsef I wouldn't be surprised if there was a porn parody with the slogan, "In space, no one can hear you cream."

Remember, if you can, to spend some more time outside before the summer is over.

This week has been somewhat less eventful than last week, but frankly, that's okay too. Maybe it's the fact that I'm getting old, but the calmer days have done me good, enabling me to recharge after a bunch of physical activity.

I do plan to go on a hike tomorrow, though, with my sister. She's bringing a dog that she's watching currently, so we'll probably...

It would seem that my little Wheel of Book Title Fortune is determined to have me read series after series lately. There was the supernatural series featuring Dr. Greta Helsing; then the Norwegian series featuring Agnes Tveit; my previous read - The Dead Take the A Train - was technically part 1 of a duology; and now we've landed on another Norwegian crime series by

In my last NOW READING post, I announced that I was getting started on The Dead Take the A Train by Cassandra Khaw and Richard Kadrey. And some of you requested that I let you know what I thought about it once I'm done. Well, I'm currently done!

If you're just looking for a overall comment on it, I absolutely loved it. But if you

Some weeks seem to just zip past us! (Foreshadowing pun ahoy)

This week started off very eventful, and then I spent the next two days recovering, not just resting some sore muscles but watching my arms become increasingly black and blue. If you're expecting some saucy story about some sort of BDSM event, however, you're out of luck. My bruises are the result of some...

Omg this is the coolest adventure ever!!! That floating station looks like something from a TV show! I love getaways like this, super fun and active and surrounded by lovely people. Most definitely a bonding experience. It's so nice seeing you doing things like this, it makes me beam with happiness for you!!!
ojtheviking:
@phianixx Yeah, stuff like this has definitely been needed in my life! Especially after these last 11 years. I thought I'd be a bit socially rusty in larger groups, but I've done quite well. I guess the live streams I've done on TikTok and interacting with people in that way has retrained my social skills a bit πŸ˜
