Ok, I went to see the advisor....I will have to take several classes. It will be 17 credits, roughly. So, throw in another one or two just for fun so I am taking fulltime both semesters and it will take me Fall and Winter semester and I will graduate (again) in April of '06. Now I need to fill out the old FAFSA, I went...

To answer a little better ... I know the casts of movies and their general plot without ever actually seeing the movies.

And my brain is weird.

I actually haven't read any of Ouspensky's books all the way through. I've skimmed, but I mostly know them by reputation...

First of all, let me say that P.G. Wodehouse is a very underrated author. I started reading The Mating Season tonight. It's one of the Jeeves and Wooster novels. Damn is it good so far. I love Wodehouse so much.

I read Being There by Jerzy Kosinski today. I think I liked the movie more, but hey, it's got Peter Sellers in it, what's not...

Oh, and I'm thinking the little NA just means 'Not Available' because he's still in Scranton?
crispy:
He broke Luzinski's recoed for homers (the existing Eastern League record) at Reading last year by mid-July before being called to AAA Scranton and eventually called to the bigs as a September call up.

So, yeah. It looks like he's got what it takes.
In a sick and twisted way, I'd like to see him get a shot.

Yes, as a matter of fact, I have been slacking on the updates. You would too if your life was as uninteresting as mine....

I've read a few books lately. Travels With Charley by Steinbeck kicked ass. The Chaplains' Raid by Ric Hardman was pretty damn good, kinda reminded me of Catch-22 only not quite as good. The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy, well, maybe...

oops, i ought to clarify... surreal students with previous undergraduate degrees are still awarded the opportunity to have federal loans, but no federal free money/grants. of course, you are eligible for any school-sponsored fellowships + merit-based/need-based grants if your school offers them. coming from someone who pays for uni fees with high-interest credit cards, i'm really not the one to offer fafsa advice skull

it's only been a week! But if I have more time later I will update. I have to finish e-mailing back and forth with my lawyer first.

Let me look at his stats and I'll let ya know by tomorrow morning.

There are few things I enjoy more than book shopping. I went to three bookstores yesterday. Here's the new inventory:

The Monk - Matthew Lewis
Exemplary Stories - Miguel de Cervantes
13 Albatrosses (or, Falling of the Mountain) - Donald Harington
The Grapes of Wrath - John Steinbeck
Travels with Charley - John Steinbeck

But the real joy was today. I drove down to Three...

Poster Children, huh? I'll look into it.

And yeah, they did win. Up 3-1. smile
_sarah_:
That's the plan. I refuse to stay here after this lease, and they were the only college to accept me into the respiratory therapy program. The one in Chicago that has it won't give financial aid to out-of-state people, and I can't afford to move there now anyway (damn job loss).

I have some friends in Midland, so it won't be too terrible.

Ever since baseball season started I have pretty much stopped watching movies. I miss watching movies, but you can't do that while baseball is on, ya know. I went from at least two a day to one in the last three weeks (and a bad one at that!).

I was considering going to Detroit for the Twins/Tigers game today. But they're expecting low temperatures and...

I guess we'll be holding on to Mulder and Randy, then?

Hope your not sick of the endless stats in the Baseball group.

Have you started the Red and the Black?

Yesterday was a busy day...

I finished East of Eden. I'm so pissed off. Why the hell didn't I read that years ago? I absolutely loved it. Now I have to rush out and buy more Steinbeck to read. I figure I will get to Grapes of Wrath pretty soon and maybe pick up a couple more shorter ones.

I read all of R.U.R. For...

at least it snowed while you were working, and not when you were trying to have fun outside. and seriously, last year on may 10 it snowed here and didn't melt for a week and a half surreal

Two days ago it was 80 degrees and sunny as hell. Two days from now it will be in the 30's and it is probably going to snow. And people wonder why I want to leave this fucking state.

East of Eden is amazing so far. I'm about a quarter of the way through it. I'm going to settle down and read for the next...

This reading shit kicks ass. You know, it had been a long, long time since I had actually completed a book. However, I have completed eight or so in the last two weeks and am now working on another.

I went to the used bookstore today and bought The Red and The Black by Stendhal and East of Eden by Steinbeck. I started East...

you are the only other guy i know who has a pink pair of chucks.

I got an email from Poster Children saying the band had broken up due to some personal issues between members. They're one of my alltime favorite bands. It made me sad. So, I went to their website and couldn't find anything more about it. And I was still sad. Then about ten minutes later I got another email from them saying their site had been...

That was just an ugly fucking loss all around ... the Rocks come in tomorrow, hopefully the Phils'll bother to show up.

If I wasn't a Red Sox fan, none of this would even be an issue, but the only reason I picked up Randy was because I thought he was going to have a great year. this is the first time I've ever been in anything besides a 5X5 roto league, so I may not be looking at his value beyond ERA and wins. I'm figuring that this could be the year the Yankees implode (I have a lot of the same feelings about the Red Sox, to be honest).

Your offer was pretty good, and I agree that Eaton is better than Moyer over the whole season, but still not quite good enough.

I talk big sometimes when it comes to trades, but i puss out a lot too.

I hung out with Miss TiffanyJewel yesterday.

I got new books! I got R.U.R., which I haven't read since about sophomore year of high school. I got Dreamcatcher, which is the only Stephen King book I haven't read (except for some short stories). And, last but very far from least, I got The Alexandria Quartet...I read it several years ago and then...

That was a fun trip. I got to see a couple of good games. I got to visit Busch Stadium (in what I didn't even realize was its final season). I got to see the big arch. I took some good pictures which I will probably upload here later.

I was going to head from St. Louis to Louisville yesterday and go to the Red...

I gotta say, this not working shit kicks supreme ass. I have so much more fun doing whatever I feel like doing rather than having to go into work and doing what they feeling like me doing.

So, I headed to Detroit yesterday. My former roommate, who now lives in Montana, was in town with his girlfriend. A fairly large group of us descended on...
