I need to first say how horrendous I have been lately at posting and getting back to people! Self-centeredness is a sign of being immature - it's also one of the diagnostic criteria for various personality disorders in the DSM-IV-TR...I actually was looking through my copy of the book - I used to have initials next to various diagnoses for family and friends. Just in...

you haven't had to return him yet? no wonder you haven't been busy here.

dumb question: DSM-IV-TR?

hope all is peachy/appley with you, but I'm guessing it is!

I will use this when talking to the ex. No, I'm not cruel- but I may think it.

How long are you allowed to keep possesion of a Canadian without the FBI banging down your door these days?
Glad to see its still working out- you know if you have the choice between fun and posting on this site, fuck it- have fun skull

Guard: You are from where?

Greetings from Canada! Montrel....(ooh cool international keyboard!) Yay me - made it here and.....didn't even get lost! Traffic was pretty horrendous getting to the city - but I still managed to find my way...Big relief as I cry when I get lost....That would have been bad...And - now I am very happy for minoring in French...Definitely a help - of course, I won't speak it...

I liked 3 the best out of the three movies. Uh...You smuggled a canadian back as in a bottle of the beer by the brand name "Canadian," or as in a human being from Canadian descent?

ps, Canada never really separated from anything. We're still part of the British Commonwealth to this day.

I have had an absolute shite day at work! I have decided that if someone is unemployable in the real world, they decide to work in higher education. Then these unemployable people get wonderful titles and salaries. Now, not having any practical experience in anything - they decide that they will get involved on projects, grants, and all kinds of fun stuff that people that...

Sorry your day sucked so bad - your loss was my gain apparently, as your words made me laugh. I had a good moght - built a tray table for my Mom that hooks under her sofa, then worked on one of my new songs, Money Swears.

And I'm off today!

Hope today goes better for you! kiss kiss

i would enjoy being whipped by you probably way more than i should! so spank me baby! wink

I haven't updated since my bubbles...I adore bubbles...I am completely, totally, taken with my crush. Yup - I'm going up to Montreal next weekend to see him, then I am kidnapping him to bring him back home with me for a week. Yay! Very excited - I took the week of from work - I still have classes - but only two nights during the...

Ah, I would have such a good excuse to watch Miyazaki films if I had a kid...
Glad he likes them!
And glad you're enjoying what you deserve and shutting out those doubts- its good to hear!
Had the first induction day at the job which they can't give me a start date for yet (airport security is ludicrously thorough) seemed pretty good actually- yes its retail and all that corporate crap, but there seems to be a good social scene and they made it very clear that even us managers 'leave as soon as our hours are up', which is a bit different to the old place in a very positve way!
Less work, more fun is on the agenda. skull
northern:
I say six hours is nothing, since I'm seven hours from any SG events, for example.

And there's someone on here I like a lot, and she's at least 14 hours away. Haven't made the trip yet, but that's 14 hours with no stops or slowdowns. That's a very long drive. So six hours is nothing.

And nice to roll along with the Canadian spelling of neighbours. I'll stat using words like colour and centre as well. smile

I got tagged by PunkNiteMike (yay such a love) to do 20 random facts about me.

1. My first concert ever was David Bowie (Serious Moonlight tour) with Stevie Ray Vaughan on guitar.
2. My dad taught me how to shoot pool when I was 10 and I played in a 9-ball league for six years.
3. I havent seen my real hair color since...

I read that I got tagged a couple days ago. Had to think of 20 things first.

I have, so you'll have to read them at my journal/blog.

Where do you keep more than sixty purses?

Your sister must be very upset about you naming your son Patrick. Hope she doesn't hold it against him.

I'm a complete homebody too.

What is Pustefix? Bubble mix?
societyspliers:
Pustefix: (n.) Medical term for "oozing abcess that needs healing."

Example: "Doc, ya gotta help me! I got Pustefix!"

No, I'm not a member, but I'm no stranger to life on the edge. I was just able to channel that tendency into stage performance, writing, art, music, role playing, hanggliding, skydiving, bungee jumping, cliff-scaling, spelunking, etc.

I often help struggling addicts and will attend meetings with them and although not an addict per se, I sometimes back up sponsors.

Of course, I also sing songs with lyrics like "I need to get loaded and laid," and "Up in Smoke," etc.

And Caroline Says II is a great idea! Big Lou Fan - first show I ever bootlegged was Lou Reed at the Bottom Line in NYC 1979 and I've seen copies cirxulating to this day! Even on the intraweb! Ironically, my masters are long since vanished in the annals of . . . or perhaps the ANALS of time. Don Cherry was special guest. Here's the setlist and info:

Lou Reed at the Bottom Line, NYC 131 minutes - single set show!
Special Guest: Don Cherry

Sweet Jane
I'm Waiting For The Man
Leave Me Alone
Men Of Good Fortune
The Kids
Caroline Says II
The Bed
Sad Song
Heroin
Walk On The Wild Side
All Through The Night
City Lights
The Bells
Perfect Day
Encores:
Rock & Roll
Street Hassle

Working on 20 facts in another window (probably gave a few right here!)

It's official - I am dating. Not just dating, but even completely smitten..i have been giddy and silly and goofy all week! which hasn't boded well as I had finals at school (uggh!) but, i'm happy (oh god - i just reminded myself of droopy). That's so cool. And he's Canadian too? Yeah, we Canadians can be pretty nice. smile

How long will you be visiting him? Hope it goes as well as his visit to you went.

Glad you've decided to take the plunge and just go with your heart instead of trying to talk yourself out of it.

This has been an interesting week! I haven't updated as I have had "company" and sitting at a computer typing hasn't been on my list of things to do. But, yes of course it involves a man....One that I wasn't expecting at all! So, the really, really nice part of all of this is that I have an absolute complete and total crush on this...

so we're officially dating now, but not exclusively! its a start so im happy! we had a wonderful fun filled weekend together & it was so great! and its looking like we'll be hanging out for the 4th of july too so that makes me happy!

go with your instincts, and LDR are possible! im trying to make it work!
nokturn:
Enjoy it!!! smile
Its totally natural to avoid close relationships after a severe crash and burn, even if its years ago.
Its like having a nasty near fatal car wreak. Takes a long time to get back behind the wheel and in the meantime you'll take any mode of transport that gets you where you want to be as long as its not a car!!
I am always on the other side of this condundrum and my challenge is to try to understand people's inclination to run away from things they like.
I'm getting there...
I am often told this: 'Somebody who can't touch your heart can't break it'.
As the phone is then slammed down or my number deleted, I try to say this: 'Its quite likely that somebody who can touch your heart will try their best to keep it intact'.
What I'm saying is that nobody ever said happiness is easy. Otherwise everyone would have it.
Don't accept the temptation to choose ease over risk.
Enjoy what you have. If it leads to happiness, great.
If it doesn't, still great.
If it leads to happiness then hurt, well, whether you win a couple of coins or a jackpot, you have to risk a quarter in the slot machine to stand any chance.
You know how your thought processes work- mine are the same: I provide other people positive feedback but only have negative expectations for myself.
I've come to realise that my head is wrong, its like a director of a company who would rather be on the golf course than in the office- the less work the better, even if a little more work will have meant soaring profits.
I've been trying to ignore my head and go with my heart because that's the worker who deserves the positive bonuses.
Its not easy tho.
You like the guy. Don't expect or weigh up, just go for it. skull

kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss to everyone who played name Nina's town! I am really full of myself this evening....but it is Gloucester - and the Perfect Storm was filmed here and they took many creative licenses with the movie! But I don't want to think about her this weekend, so next week would be better- I know when she doesn't reply I'll feel bad and that if she does she'll act as if nothing's amiss, which will also make me feel bad.
So I don't want to feel that at the weekend.
Thanks for saying I'm kind and caring- unfortunately though, this is how people see me and can't see anything else. I believe this is a major problem with this girl as well- she's wild on the outside, sensitive on the inside, I'm sensitive on the outside, wild on the inside, but although I see all of her, she refuses to open up to all of me, and therefore tries to keep me in that 'support mechanism' box which leaves her disatisfied and me feeling used.
The fact is she needs to start seeing the world for what it really is- its not black and white, its a mix, and she's a mix, and she won't be happy until she stops playing wild or sensitive and starts being herself, which was how she was when she was with me, and lo and behold- she was happy.
But she can't handle being happy so I'm best off giving her an open invite to contact me if and when she can and leaving it at that.
Anyway...

I've simplified and 'punkised' the temple design- I like my designs to be semi cartoony and made of rough black lines with dabs of just primary colours- I'm also doing shoulder designs but I really need a good tattooist who'll give me a decent deal.
Good luck for Wednesday- you deserve it!
Take care and as always, thankz for your messages! smile skull
