The entries are coming fast and furious for a while. If you blinked, you have missed a general progress report, a rant against insurance companies, a tribute to Jerry Goldsmith, and the history of the PG-13 movie rating.
Instead of the second half of the PG-13 rant, a short, hopefully humorous filler occured to me. As some of you know, I am undecided about astrology,...

I had planned to devote an entry on the San Diego Comicon, but something else came up again... so, a little another diversion, if you will. Comicon highlights later.
My comments in theAVP Hate Thread (actually, I started it), got me thinking more about the PG-13 rating; which I have called the death of action movies.
First, a little history.

What interests me most is the amount of violence they'll put up with before slapping an R rating on it versus the amount of sex.

How do you know that stuff? Are you a fellow bio nerd?

I was going to leave the progress report from last time up a while longer, but I've got my anger up after spending all day on the phone with my car insurance company.
First, let me be clear on my general attitude on this subject. Insurance companies are on my list of the three most evil things on the planet. Insurance companies, tow truck companies,...

I have dial-up that i can only use for 10 mins at a time (don't ask) and it kills me, so it's very very painful to try use SG. I start back at school next week so will be heading home sunday or monday, and back online properly then!
whew, i'm glad i don't work in insurance.
see ya soon

My last entry was looong, so this is mundane, and short. A spacer, if you will.
First of all, I'm going to San Deigo Comic Con on Weds the 21st. Anyone down in that area is more than welcome to try and set up a time and meet wit' me. I may bring the pimp hat, but I'll definitely have the pimp-i-tude.

Over the last three entries is a play I wrote. This is not.
I just finished reading a letter posted in this thread. In general, I have a low opinion of drug abusers, people that kill themselves, and people that try to harm cops. But, it got me thinking.
A while back, I got as close as I ever did to suicide. I'm guessing...

Why do we have to urge to squeeze them though? Why do we want to pop their heads off? That feeling I get when I'm holding something cute makes me feel like a psycho.

I won't be in LA until the 23rd. If I get that time off, it will be until the 2nd of August.

This is the last section of a Superhero Drama I wrote a while back. The other two parts and an explanation of why I bothered are in the last two journal entries. As always, feedback is always okay.

Yup. I'm saving all my pretty ones for the weekend.
In normal news, freelance projects aren't firming up, loans aren't coming in, so stress is starting to build. I need to move, too.
Here is the second scene of a short play I wrote. The first part and explanation of it is one entry back. There is one more scene after this.

you dont have to thank me for stepping into that thread, I just wish I had gotten there sooner. The whole thing was basically revolved around my horrible actions of trying to reach out to the unfortunate ppl of opiate addiction so as to make them feel less abaondoned. Everbody needS SOMEBODY. I havent gone back to the thread to see where exactly YOU stand on the subject, I read so many posts by so many different ppl that I cant keep track of who's on what side here.
Thank YOU for participating in the thread tho. I know its certainly a very otuchy subject and everyones opinions matter and are greatly appreciated, even if they dont neccesarily agree with mine.

I guess not, as it were.
I had a couple ideas for journal entries, but I didn't write them down fast enough. I would like to say I've very sorry that Louise has decided to leave SG. She was my favorite favorite, all freckled and sexy and tough. I did a desktop of her once, because her body is unique, lean and comic booky; very cool for that kind of thing....

Having had relatives in Arizona I've seen a lot of spectacular electrical storms. Ours are usually pretty boring, here, but occasionally (in the case of last week) we'll have one that rivals anything I've seen anywhere else. Only once in a blue moon, though.
I'm still not sure how I feel about Reagan's death.
Reagan was the first politician I paid any attention to. I knew a little bit about Carter, but the only thing that caught my attention was the fucked up hostage rescue.
As Reagan was elected, I was caught up in the same ra ra America stuff as most other people. The hostages were released right...

I'd feel presumptous announcing my arrival and expecting people to show up for it, but I'd definitely like to meet you. We should get a drink at least, I can get out of bed long enough for that.

Get them both silly.
This is the final scene of my second play, "The Two Megans". The immediate previous journals have the rest, aside from one glitch to whine.
This scene was originally blocked with plenty of movement. Anna tended to dance and move, to reflect her mood. Again, though, lots would be left up to the director (should it ever get produced again.)

Well, it's not really a matter of "kiss and make up". I left because I got tired of the abuse I was getting from people I thought were my friends, and the attitude of the group toward me, and in general. As for the ownership, I've transferred it over to Vikprez- just waiting for the techies here to get to it.
Like I said, though, I'm still around- just when I dictate, not when "friends" do.
