I honestly don't think you should sweat the move to much. I mean I understand that you think that you're laying so much on the line...but really....if sometimes happens, you just come home and figure things out from there. Just think of how many years you have left to live...I don't think it's that big a deal. And if it does work out...then you'll be happy and you probably wont believe you second guessed it in the first place.
