I didn't want to update until I had something good to say. Almost two weeks of me complaining about the weather is just boring but I have yet to acquire much good news to tell you. The short of it is that things have taken a turn for the trying of late.

I was 'downsized' from my job (too many staff and not enough shifts)...

Rainbow after every storm... One of my mates says this to me all the time, and I hate it when she does.. But it may work for your, who knows.

Natalie Portman was hot, is hot and always will be just that.. HOT HOT HOT!

And it is getting cooler.. Thats always a plus!!!

This heat has to end. Fucking Australian summer. I'll give you over thirty every day for the last week! I'm not sure how since I can't move more that two metres from my fan without almost dying, but I'll figure out a way. Stupid summer *mutter mutter*.

So yeah. Kat and I have spent most of the last week lying on the couch, quietly sweating...

Gah! I've totally just spend half and hour judging kittens based on their cuteness levels. I'm all over-cuted and I feel a little bad for those that didn't make the grade. Poor losingest kittens. Also, my gnawing desire to own a small fluffy thing to torment and play with is growing again, living my pet-life vicariously through others just isn't enough, I need more dammit!...

Cat. Definitely. Have 2 and spend half my weekend working at a homeless cat shelter. I fall in love with about 20 residents every single weekend. blush

Big news:

All your good lucks must have pleased the Visa Gods because Miss Kat managed to get hers a couple of weeks ago! Apparently our relationship is "genuine and lasting", an oddly satisfying bit of validation from the federal government. The interview was one of the scariest things I think I've ever done, I had butterflies-a-go-go and I think Kat would've been sick if...

I really should update because there has been much going on but I don't have the time as the much that has been going on still is going on so its going to be a short one.

Miss Kat and I went to the Big Day Out on Sunday. It was a brilliant day with much dancing, sitting in the shade and lots of friends...

So yesterday, while I was at work, a man managed to slosh about a third of a bottle of Corona exactly down my butt crack. He claimed it was an accident but surely that takes far too much coordination for a man who was drunk enough to gesture so emphatically as to lose a third of his drink? And out of a bottle as well....

Remember, turned up collars make great beer pouring funnels.

Just so you know.
_elichrusos:
And if the collar isn't turned up, you can always improvise. If the gentleman in question is covered with booze and looks to have wet himself, who are we to question?

You don't have to marry me, you could stay an entire month without a Visa. But I don't want you to think even for a moment that I'm discouraging such thinking.

I'm beginning to think that one of the harbingers of getting older is getting excited about white goods. It's slightly worrying. My parents and I went to look at appliances for the house and I had a lovely afternoon running around Rick Hart like a kid in a candy store. Fridges and stoves and range-hoods oh my! Exhibit A in my new, worrying love of...

*sigh* I wrote a big update and then was foolish enough to close the window without saving it. So I'm afraid you get highlights and more photos because I really can't be arsed re-writing the whole thing. Sorry.

I went to see a very French film at The Somerville last night. For all you non-Perth based people, The Somerville is one of the open air...

Sounds very goood.
I like outdoor cinema'ness too, especially when u can take a picnic.
I havent done the swimming pool outdoor cinema yet though, but I might have to try it.

Yes we will get matching Geta Sandals, and we will karankoron around town in them. Very cool.

Yes the pizza was very sickening, and i went and laid in bed after and made groaning sounds of the un fun variety.

Whats wrong with having buffy occupying ur mind? Are you mocking a large part of my life?

Next door lives a fat, tortoiseshell manx cat. He is adorable and I want to steal him into my house and feed him milk so I can see his little tail-stump wag. The tail-stump reminds me of my little corgi who has recently had to have a golf ball sized tumor cut off her belly. Poor baby, she's getting old and her little legs are...

A swift update in almost five parts

1. Christmas was lovely. Family, family friends, laughter, champagne, food, more champagne, more food, presents. All the usuals. I think next year it might be fun to have a waifs and strays Christmas just to see if it would feel like Christmas without all the spectacle that is my family celebration.

2. My best friend is over from...

I went to the Foundry last night. For all of you non-Perth based people the Foundry is a weird, suburban music venue attached to a big shopping mall. It's just plain bizarre and is normally populated by bands playing bad Placebo covers. I ended up there because my friend from primary school fell in love with both the bassist and lead singer from Sin City...

Yes there was another day of overindulgence on my part xmas day, and I'm glad you had one of the same. I'm working on the bunny in the hat thing, but he hasn't been very accomodating, I guess he wasnt happy with what i got him for xmas.

As much as I would rather live closer to the city or freo, for works sake, I am looking at buying in warnbro, due to an offer I can't refuse and my need to be near a good beach.

Hope you have a lovely new years and we catch up soon.
bridehead:
Sounds like it was a good night out, even though I have no knowledge of this Foundry of which you speak confused

Always nice to have hot band boys..mmmmm...my weakness!

Christmas was....well..it's over now! biggrin
Let's just say I had a few cowboys to smooth out the ride tongue
