I'm having great fun with my vacation. So much sleeping. I may even catch up eventually.

This has also been a wicked fun party summer for me. New avenues have been explored and much dancing has been done. Hopefully at least some of this can keep happening once the "party summer" is over.

Helped danny_g move. I can take the credit for at least some...

There are times when I wonder if you pay a little too much attention to my internet habits. Also, you're the only one who noticed.

Okay, my Phantom of the Opera review.

Singers:
The men were generally not as strong as I would've liked. This included the Phantom (John Cudia). He wasn't Michael Crawford unexpressive (Granted, I'm basing this on the cast recording, but the man had no emotional range. Phantom angry, Phantom tender, Phantom scary, all sounded exactly the same. Boo.), but he wasn't as powerful as the Phantom...

Great God that hurt!

Elaboration:
A bunch of us went out to play frisbee in Prince's Island Park on Monday. Well, I mostly watched frisbee. Anyway, one friend provided bug repellent so we didn't get eaten alive by mosquitoes, but I did not put on any sunscreen. After about two and a half hours of sitting around in shorts, my thighs started to get sunburnt....

So...drunken SCUBA diving is DEFINITELY out of the picture then???
danny_g:
Considering when I've been getting home this week? Yeah, that's the plan. Sadly it took a while to convince my body that sleeping at 11 was not, in fact, just a nap and that waking up twenty minues later ready to resume my night was bad.

Ha ha. Your sunburn causes more pain than mine. Now if only these stabbing stomach pains would go the frack away, I'd be getting somewhere.

Went out dancing for the first time in a long while last Saturday. It was wicked fun! Must do this more often! Intermittant lame music can be forgiven in exchange for that much entertainment.

Of course I was very under rested when my mom and sister arrived to go to the bridal shower my mother-in-law was throwing for "me." Several people I'd never even met...

Recent ruminations on the ever-changing nature of social relationships.

People's priorities change. It's not necessarily a malicious thing, just a reflection of the changes that go on constantly in everyone's lives. This includes the level and nature of our relationships with others. The way one person connects to another and the degree of importance that connection holds for them is not a constant. It is...

Well, post show depression seems to be taking the form of god-damn-it-I'm-sleepy (understandable show-related sleep deprivation backlog catching up with me) and an urge to go out dancing. confused I mean, I like dancing, but why now?

My little sister has gone home again. It was nice to have her around for a few weeks. We're eight years apart, so that thing where you're both kind...

God damn internet ate my post. mad Now I have to do it all again.

Okay, first things first - show plug.

As this is our fifth anniversary, Scorpio is celebrating "5 Seasons of Getting it Write" (yes, we know, it's a pun, we're sorry) with three shows about how plays get written and performed. The last in this series is:

Pride and Prima Donnas

When:...

Well, I'm less irritated now, work-wise. Nothing has particularly changed - I still don't know if I'll be replaced at the end of the month - but you just can't stay that annoyed for that long. It wears off.

In other news, I missed danny_g's post-rehearsal funk (none of you distracted me, so I read about it here) due to being in one...

That's what I figured. They don't look like easily scared critter or critters you can just push to the side of the road. Here's to hoping that when I go back next week the moose have the common sense to stay in the woods!

Dress shopping huh? Perhaps you can bribe someone with chocolate covered blueberries?
