i read it before i when out and couldn't stop thinking about it. i guess i still had it on my mind got home.
"A spot, like a bird, came flying across to Reiko and settled on the lap of her white silk kimono."
this is my favourite quote, taken out of context it doesn't seem like much but it really struck me. i think because it sums up his style in away. he took something like a blood splatter and made it poetry. just like took the visceral act of seppuku and made it beautiful.
