Mirah has this friend who I don't know, but occasionally see around here in Philly. Anyway, as I've seen at a couple of Mirah shows, when Mirah plays, this girl has a special dance just for her that my girlfriend and I refer to as "the t-rex dance". She claws the air like a little t. rex with short little arms. It's great.
been pretty down & lonely. having a hard time getting out of the house to see people, feeling kind of isolated and weird in SF. i've lived here a long time and there have been a lot of changes. not sure where all my old friends are. there used to be a lot of parties, don't know if i got too old to get excited...

i completely empathise. there are times when i've been in the midst of an active scene, only to come to a lull, and realize that either a) the scene had slightly shifted, or b) i had swiftly tilted, and the kindred i had felt had turned to apathy. It's definitely cyclical. Tonight, listening to postal service helps.

Aw, that's lame! I still haven't gotten mine out but they keep playing peek-a-boo every once in a while. They come out a bit and tear my gums all to hell, then they go back down for 6 months or so. Then they're back again but just the very tips of them come up so.....okay, okay, okay...I'm putting off getting them out. I've seen what that does to people though! Do you look like a chipmunk? I had a friend in highschool come to school one day and it looked like she had been jumped! So I second the ice notion. None of us want your pretty face to get bruised.
