I used to feel (sort of) the same way a few years ago, about parents and such. I've always been (what I now know to be) pretty "liberal" and sort of easy-going, ever since I was a little kid. My dad is a hardcore conservative and was in the Army for 30 years. My mom pretty much follows in his footsteps. Needless to say, growing up in their house was difficult at times.
The thing is, that after a while, as I sort of thought about things, I came to the realization that they're just regular people. It's not that they're weird or off-their-rocker, it's just that they (like everyone else) can only go off of what they know. True, they don't really share my views on anything (aside from my dad and I being Formula 1 fans), and it seems like they've never been behind me 100% on anything, but what can you do?
That's how it goes. For better or worse, I guess.

As for putting pics up... just find someplace to host them (Photobucket.com seem to work for most people I know...) and then link them from there. I keep all my stuff on this server space my friend pays for, for his page...
