4 full days since we listed, two "sightings." Heh, The first has wayy more neg comments than pos., including, "driveway (is steep!) and poses a problem, and thre are too many paint colors."

Geez, glad they didn't see the house BEFORE we had 1/2 of it painted or (repainted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).

Ok. Another update:

Countertops and sink are in!!!!!!!!!!!! They're Gorgeous! I'd tell you to go give Idjiit a huge kudos, but....

Carpets are clean, and most of the painting is done!

the inlaws are gone, they left Thursday morning, so the house is ours again.

Now we have fun stuff, like cleaning windows and sills , and general pick-up and cleaning to show the house....

Just got back from taking Idjiit's parents and my mother to the cotton mill condos to show them what we're thinking about. Idjiit's parents were gleefully supportive and complimentary. My mother called it a stinkin' dump.

Lunch was not fun, and its not exactly like Idjiit needed another reason to not like my mom.

Bonus room: primed

Hallway: painted

Kitchen: painted

garage: approx. 80% cleaned

landscape: weeded and mulched

Screened porch: De-screened amd scrubbed. Gorgeously clean. Must be repainted and rescreened.

Still need to clean carpets and install new countertops and sink.

Its seems like we're working our asses off, yet so little gets done each day. *sigh*

Home Update:

Bonus room sanded, patched, and beginning to be primed.

Upstairs hallway: Patched and half painted.

Kitchen: cleared of furniture, walls and baseboards cleaned. We are about to rip off old countertops, to make painting easier.

Garage: Packed to gills, needs to be cleaned out.

Me: exhausted!

Update:

Bonus room: 90% cleared out and ready for repairs and painting.

New countertops for kitchen: picked out!
New laminate flooring for kitchen: ordered!
Painter: Called, met with, estimate approved, will start Saturday.
Paint for hallways and kitchen: bought!
Rest of house: TOTAL FUCKING MESS.

Well.... we're preparing to sell our house so we can majorly downsize and live in neat-o downtown condos that were built in an old cotton mill. Check Idjiit's page for pics.
