The wife flew home for a week to hang out with the family and play army. It's so odd when her and the baby aren't home. It's like i have nothing else that defines me other than having my family around!

Supposed to fly to Baltimore tomorrow for work. I went to check in online and found out they didn't even buy the ticket yet....

It's been about a month. I don't hop on here too often.

Almost finished with this school. Pretty excited to go home. There is something to be said about having a mundane and routine life with your family. But if you have a baby then you know there is not really such a thing as routine. That kid does something new every week!! they are...

watching John Stossel. I wonder when libertarians will be a viable 3rd party.

drank too much over the weekend. seems like it's all i do these days. i guess being in training makes you drink more.

watched Dredd, the last Stand and the evil Dead remake this weekend. I was not disappointed at all!

Time to move again. I really hate moving, especially moving so much. This will be our 9th move in the last 6 years. That isn't counting the moves of stuff from storage to a house after a deployment. It's just hard on everything, hard on the furniture, hard on the dogs, and hard on us. Yet another reason it's time to hang this shit up....

I've been in the Army for over 10 years now and i have witnessed a myriad of mangerial techniques. Some of them I agree with and emulate other i reject and hope to never see again. The unit i am currently in is a hotbed of toxic leaders and it is fueled by a Good-Ol' Boy system that is unrivaled in the modern world. It...

so i've been home for about 3 weeks now. I'm getting used to being a father. I had no idea the emotional ups and downs i'd experience. When my daughter smiles at me i'm just beaming with love and pride in her. When its 3 am and she is screaming her head off and i can't get her to calm down its all i can...

I think my under riding problem with society is life is just not fair. I have a pretty strong sense of fairness, and it really pisses me off when things aren't dealt with equally. We have had 2 soldiers go home on "emergency leave" because of in-laws dying. Granted that would be an emergency for any normal person, but the Army has guidelines that say...

People's "enlightened" ignorance is really starting to annoy me. All these new wave "let's fight for underprivileged people everywhere" crowd just demonstrate how little they know about the world. Saw an article today about how Afghanistan still has a "long way to go" with women's rights. yes, duh, and you fancy ass people aren't going to change it. Their culture doesn't place an emphasis on...

Inside of 70 days left. Definitely beyond ready to go home. the baby is due in about 3 weeks so i definitely can't wait for that! Pretty excited to become a dad, no joke!

Well looks like last blog i was expecting riots, good to see that no one rioted, at least not yet! America is definitely in a volatile time.

The most exciting thing...

I'm officially inside of 100 days left. Only problem is the wife is due in 55. Thankfully due to the invention of the interweb, 11 years occupying this place, skype, and cash money I SHOULD be able to at least be "there" with her. I tried everything short of going AWOL to make it home, so it'll have to serve. Luckily babies aren't that exciting...

it's sad that you can't be physically there for her, but at least you will get to see her and she will see you.

Also, thank you for your comment in my set, I actually named it Fatum because of "One Winged Angel", Sephiroth's song x)
