I wrote this about a week ago. Things are different, as they so often are.

Hey pervs.

Youve caught me at a weary moment. You know how some people use the phrase Ive been doing suchandsuch a task like its my job!, but usually it refers to them spending two hours half-interestedly diddling and then getting up to wander to the kitchen when they arent...

I'd ask to be your boyfriend, but I'm certain the Nigerian Neighbor has already beaten me to it.

SHE! OoOoOo. I never knew.
...it's always the quiet ones...

I'll move in during the WINTER. Hell no do I want to sweat like the dickens! I WATCH VIDEO. tongue Not to mention, I should find some kind of occupation or snag a grant - since they just GIVE those away - so a school can gain more rep over my future laurels.

Also, I know you'd have me go on Ikea runs for more shelves and bookcases.

Next week, I quit my job.

A little more than three weeks after that, I leave San Diego for good.

I heard Gabriel Kahane's Craigslistlieder driving through Claremont on Friday night before I ate sushi with friends. Again I was ambushed with strange and powerful music. You can listen to the rest of Craigslistlieder here.

Also, go here and listen to the song "Underberg." It's beautiful.

If Sylvia Plath hadn't been so sad, I think she'd sing. I think she'd sing like this.

This album put me in a curious mood. A prescient mood the kind that makes you feel something that you don't quite understand, and stirs up all kinds of memories that you aren't quite sure why you are remembering, and you find yourself near tears about things...

My trip to the beach today was great, but it left me with some fantastically awkward sunburns in some fantastically awkward places. Now I have aloe sticking to my pajama pants. Blergh. Why does everything good come with some physically painful penance?

Also, I saw Star Trek. It's really not that great. I don't know what you all are talking about.

Today was a good...

I didn't know that.
Sometimes there is only one word that completely expresses my feelings. Right now, that word is saudade.

I really enjoy Dawkin's work.
Not so much from an Atheist standpoint, but rather from a biologist's standpoint.

I can definitely see how he might not appeal to everyone, though! hah.
