The flip side to my last blog is that sometimes someone quite interesting unexpectedly drops in with a comment. smile

Enjoy your fall... and continue telling us more about your life in your new place when you have time... I quite enjoy reading what you have to say.

Believe me, it's hard to get laid less than I am at the moment. Almost impossible one might say! wink

Seaside towns are the only place I've seen them really. They do some in the Lake District too though, I think. Just kind of UK holiday destinations really. They're pretty brutal on your teeth.

What you said meant a lot to me. Old blog or no, it still made me feel a lot better. Things have been improving but still have a ways to go before I feel like I'm where I want to be. But class was a lot better last week and I did get people interested in talking to me. It was great. smile

Oh and I inspired pastry of the week! biggrin

Darling you're in the UK now. Charity shops pop up like baby rabbits in Spring in this country. We might not have Good Will might, but I'd say the charity shops probably outnumber regular retail shops about 3:1. If you're looking for epic ones though I'd say head East. I hear that's where all the cool kids hang out. Brick Lane (the place to go if you like Indian food), Spitalfields market, that general area. Lots of cheap "vintage" shops. Liverpool Street stop on the tube smile

I constantly feel like some kind of illegal alien.

I don't know how people cope with this.

I just want to curl up and eat comfort food and watch sappy movies, and cry.

I've arrived!

Bit troubled though, things are not easy and everything seems like a bit of a waiting game. Basically I can't get a phone till I get a bank account, I can't get a bank account till I get a letter from my school, I can't get a letter from my school till I enroll and I can't enroll till I get internet which...
