Isn't that what they say? I may have shared in a venting blog post or two how demoralizing my job has been lately, and that is still the case. So, when I was offered the chance to teach, as a sideline, a course in Psychological Assessment at another "continuing education" college here, I jumped at the chance. Or, "jumped" isn't the word, as...

Awesome. Good luck with teaching

I know I must sound like a broken record, but my #wcw crush of this week or any week is the lovely @drave looking especially scrumptious in this recent IG shot <3

@tali79 Just for you, I'm adding another one ;-) And  thank you!

I thought records are meant to be broken. ;)

or, why kangaroos don't have 'em (I've sometimes wondered about that same problem with some humans...)

Keep 'em coming.  Snort!

I'm disappointed today that my man, Sen. Rand Paul, is suspending (i.e., ending) his quest for the Republican nomination, but I guess that shows a strain of realism. His was a lone sane voice in a party that is increasingly dominated by shrill and extreme voices... that said, I recently took the isidewith.com test and while I got 90% agreement with Rand...

We certainly live in an interesting world. Damn shame that so infrequently equates to good.

Saw this (by Soheil Rezayazdi) over at McSweeney's and loved it...in a nihilistic sort of way.

jozsef:
That's very funny, assuming of course that you have watched hope fade and emptiness rise to fill the resultant void with . . . nothing. (Once you get used to it, it's fine though.)

Lol

In a situation many on here may not be familiar with, our past couple of weeks have been largely determined by the need to help an elderly ladyfriend who's showing first signs of dementia sort out her home and financial affairs - all this from a distance of some 600 km. Last week, we spent three days on site, cleaning out her place, yesterday a...

@budoviking Thank you very much, I appreciate that! You know, my own parents also died quite a few years ago while still in their 50s, and I sometimes catch myself thinking that wasn't so bad because at least I (and they) were spared a lengthy deterioration.
sertraline:
I think that's extremely thoughtful of you to offer your help. Dealing with the elderly and their health issues can sometimes be extremely frustrating. I live in a society over here, where it is expected that the children will take care of their parents and by and large, that's what happens here. A nursing home is a no-no and is usually for those who don't have any children. Lots of patience my friend!!!

Not many things in this world are perfect, but @drave 's booty is surely one of them.

This is beautifully written❤️

It's not often that my team of certified certifiers (me, myself and I) can bestow the coveted (?) "#kaicito seal of approval" tag on three sets within a mere ten hours, but

@betzyblack

ON WHITE

@astraia

UNCONCERNED

and

@lascaux

AMERICAN GIRL

made me do it. What a start to the week!

I approve. Honestly, I believe I'd enjoy hanging out with you and sipping on either :)

I was going to post a recent pic of @drave from her IG feed, along with the lament that she's never on here anymore... then I checked her account and saw that I totally missed a post of hers from late December. Who knows, maybe 2016 will see her in an all-new SG set or two, fingers firmly crossed!

Here's the promised recent...

Babe!

Talking bucket lists is not one of my favorite topics, since in all statistical likelihood I'm a lot closer to the proverbial bucket than most folks on here. Also, when I come to think of it, it's already too late in my life for some long-range stuff. But here goes, in no order of priority:

(1) While I feel ambivalent about travel, because...

@ainoa I don't really know... maybe I should get the SG logo and get free SG for life! Or it might more likely just be something small. I'll think about it! @deesilvs Thanks, I'll check out Duolingo (that even sounds Italian right there). I'm actually pretty fit...but there's room for improvement...
midnightsun:
Beautiful blog. Time closes in on us all, no reason to still not ponder the future I love your bucket list!! Learning a language remains high up on my list as well. I just returned home from Mexico in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. Not as secluded as the spots you mentioned but equally beautiful I think🌴
