It started snowing here about 4pm and kept it up for about 5 hrs. It didn't really stick though, cause I guess the ground was too warm and wet from the rain. Oh well, I guess we got the beauty of falling snow without the lovely side effects of slush and ice on the roads. smile

First, if you haven't sent congrats to TheFox and LittleFierceOne, they're going to get married, so go do that. Schiavona and I had the honor of hosting the proposal. It was wonderful!! It was also very special because they shared this very special moment with us.

Second, I did say I was going post my resolutions, so here we go:
1. Get a tattoo....

I will most likely be writing fetish-porn reviews and "exclusives" about different types of kinks. It's something new this site is starting, they have articles and reviews but they are written mostly by office staff members who don't really know anything about the fetish lifestyle.
I hope to pop my ink cherry soon, hopefully after tax refund time. I have definite ideas and plans, it's just nothing I want is small, and I'm sure it will be expensive.

I'm baaaaack! Seriously, I'm trying to catch up with everybody's posts, but I daresay it will take a week or so. Christmas was good, I survived the inlaws visiting. They're fine, it's just when you have house guests for a week you just seem to be running around and not getting anywhere. And after running around all Nov and Dec, I was pretty freakin' tired....

mutter paneer is a vegetarian indian dish. mutter = peas and paneer = a kind of cheese. yummy spicy sauce too. if you like indian food at all, we should meet up at sitar (in durham) for dinner sometime.

I am being bad about reading and posting--I haven't read any posts for about a week and it ain't happening this week, either. I think the only thing I'm on top of is the Christmas presents and we did send out cards yesterday. I've figured out that I work with way, way too many people and I want to give them all a little something,...

Update from Atlanta:
Travelling whilst sick sucks. Luckily, the congestion is sufficiently under control that I did not have to use nasal spray for the trip down. Other interesting things I've run into down here include a real live gingerbread house about the size of a small shed (seriously, at least 10 feet long and 6 feet across) made out of gingerbread bricks and some...

I want a gingerbread house that big...so I can play hanzel & gretal and eat it! And, a pomegranite & ginger martini to wash it down!!! shocked

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

Looks like the majority of responses on the biological clock are in favor of my theory. biggrin

Question for you - how come you and Chris are never in a picture together?? If such a thing exists, could you please send it to me?winkbiggrinkiss

First, some random observations:
--It is difficult to post comments and watch Jeopardy and do well at either.
--Puppies chewing on rawhide chew bones are cute unless they're in your lap getting ook all over you.
--I wish there was a Bird Whisperer like Cesar Milan. I'd really like to know what goes on in those teensy little cockatiel brains.

The best laid plans of...

See - you live so far south, that you can't jet up for my party!

I'm having one of those mango mojitos though!

Yeah, they went in, stole her cranky appendix, gave her a prescription and told her it was her choice to stay or go home. My high school boyfriend was in the hospital for a week. I think his burst though.

Everyone's been sick lately. I hate sick days when I'm actually sick. I don't like staying in bed watching TLC marathons when I have stuff at home and at work that needs done. My volunteer's wife was having dizziness also, they couldn't figure out why, though I expect it has something to do with a sinus infection that was messing with her inner ear. Look at me playing doctor!

I need to get my ass in gear and finish my thank you cards / start my Christmas cards. Time flies!

I agree with the puppy rawhide gook too. Gross!
whitewidow:
Awwww- I hope you are feeling better now. I totally understand where you are coming from when feeling guilty about being sick. Why should we though?? It is human nature - and in my case it was necessary not to be at the hospital spreading germs to already sick and injured patientsblush I am sure your co workers were thankful you didn't come to work when you were feeling icky too because you are also thinking about their well beingwink

In answer to your question about my guinea piggiessmile I only bought the one (Lucy) and got 2 little suprises a month and a half later. Lesson learned - always make sure that when you are buying a little girl piggy, that she comes out of a cage with other little girl piggieswink I had to give one of the babies away because 3 was just too many to look after but Mickey was the better choice to keep because he was a little slow when he was a baby. Probably cause he was the runt of the 2tongue

Hope you are having a Happy Hump Daybiggrin

Okay, that was a bogus post, I was distracted on Sunday, so now I'll try to do a better one.

The thing I really liked about Vegas was the Blue Man Group show and the amazing food. We got some fabulous Italian food at a place off the strip and then at Enoteca San Marcos, a place started by Mario Batali (of Iron Chef America...

Viva Las Vegas!!

As for the rundown of what we did, please see Schiavona's post--he does a nice job of summarizing. Now, I'm going to give you travel tips as I see it for going to LV.

1. If you don't really like people (like in large, gaping, rude groups) do not go to Las Vegas. There are hordes of people running around gaping...

It is not a Ferraru museum, but a Ferrari store. You can order cars there, and buy all sorts of cool Ferrari stuff.

1) Carry a cattle prod.

2) See above.

3) I learned that going to the USGP for the first time back in 2005.

4) The Star Trek Exp is something that I want to see.

5) Hopefully in 2009 Formula 1 will return the to the US and they want it to be in LV

and

fuck Comcast!!!...

but

I need them anyway. surreal

You get busy for a couple of days and then it takes all your battery power to check email and reply to new friends' postings. . .

We made it to VEGAS!! (If I was slick, I'd insert a picture of that "Welcome to Vegas" sign here, but I'm not, so use your imagination.) The first thing about Vegas is the cheese factor (yeah, I...

I am the Glaze Queen!! All three of the new glazes worked and the combinations worked! We lost a fair number of pieces to crawling and glaze sealing, but the proof of concept worked which was the main issue. We've reloaded for bisque (not bear) and are ready to go again.

Now I can focus on getting ready for Vegas. I've been trying to think...

Report from Bethesda--
Okay, not much to report here. I have to confess that when I travel I stay up late watching TV I wouldn't normally watch. (And doing work at the same time.) Like CSI Miami and the Law and Order varieties. Never watch it at home, don't miss it when I'm not on the road, it's just pathologic. I'm hoping there's a detox...

Okay, things are looking up--schiavone has a job and a clean intestine, goin' to Las Vegas for T-giving, and I haven't killed anyone at work lately.

So, the only suggestion I've had so far for Vegas the 24-hour sex toy store--apparently it's got two stories and pretty much everything you can think of. While this sounds pretty good and we'll probably go see Hoover...
