The funny thing here is that the answer about foreign policy experience was genuinely what Sarah Palin said. Word for word. The rest, of course, is a parody. biggrin

Finally getting around to watching the season 2 DVDs of "Heroes". I figure now that I have a normal job I ought to be able to keep current with a few television shows. I just have to catch up.

I've been giving serious consideration to adding Showtime to my cable package because the third season of "Dexter" is about to start. But the bill is...

I genuinely can't wait for the VICE Presidential debate next week. I'm ready to LOL.

Yep.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Very true. Wise words indeed.
I hope that this blog means that something pleasant is going on in your life right now.

My boyfriend lives in Stoughton so I know exactly how that is.

I believe I've finally redeemed myself on the dating frontier. My last one was a complete disaster, as some of you read about.

Last night, however, I met up with a girl from Waltham that I've been talking to for a couple of weeks now. It was more like an initial meet-up than a real date, but all the signs were good. We talked a...

Strictly fictional, actually. I'm probably going to scatter little pieces of stories through my journal for a while.

You know how the secret service has code names for the President and First Lady? Well, you get a code name even when you're a candidate. And according to tradition, they always make the pair of code names begin with the same letter.

For example, Bill Clinton was "Eagle" (despite the popular belief that he was Elvis, it's just not true). Hillary Clinton is "Evergreen"....

It's nice to be home every night.

It's really nice to like your job (or at least not mind it).

I'm trying to house shop. Was actually about to apply for a mortgage and noticed my credit score dropped like 40 points since last month. WTF? Bad timing. I checked my credit report and there isn't anything unusual, so I'm at a loss to explain...

American's are forgetting how fucked up the last 8 years have been. How our country has declined in virtually every way. I'm literally beside myself in awe over how close this election seems to be running. Are that many Americans really THAT STUPID that they'll exercise their right to vote for MORE of this? I'm starting to think so. I'm starting to think that either...

I'm going to bore you with another perspective about 9/11. And then I'll just ask you where you were at the time. I remember the day quite clearly because I was working for an airline (FedEx) at the time. And obviously air travel was seriously affected for a while. I was doing a delivery route in Killingly, Connecticut. Wasn't my favorite place to work because...

Sad thing about it is that it came our before our iraq shennanigans. People knew just how these things happen but they still happened again anyway.

I was at the state police barracks in Scituate. I was getting my background check for the social work job I just left. I had been waiting for the results for a few minutes when everyone in the office started freaking the fuck out, and for a minute I thought something bad had come back on me (not that I had any reason to worry). That was actually my first day on the job too. After the cops told me what happened, I almost called out and went to a recruiter, but I decided to wait and see what was happening first. In hindsight, that was an excellent decision, because I could never take part in Iraq.

So this morning I'm going to view two houses. The beginning of my search. Or rather the first time I've done anything beyond viewing web pages. The first one I'm going to see is a two-family (which I'm not thrilled about but it suits my current needs perfectly). The smaller apartment is on the main floor, and the 2nd and 3rd floors are all one...

So I'm getting the impression that I have less to say now that I have a job I actually like a lot. Does that mean I'd frequently used my blog as a place to vent my professional grievances? I guess so. Among other things, at least.

I made two trips today from Mansfield, Mass. to Plainfield, Connecticut and back. This job is undoubtedly the best...

Did you know that underground abortions are currently happening in our country?
Guess who people ask for help?
I'm not into it though but many of my peers are.
It's so weird.
Wonder what my reality would be if Roe vs. Wade was over turned.
