I absolutely love Cixous!!! Laugh of the Medusa is a great read that bring sup some really interesting idea's. I have a small obsession with fem philosophy. What class are you writing it for? Sorry to hear about the set but hey it sounds like it worked out! Since I'm commenting on your page I feel like I should answer your questions so here it goes!

1. HA! I have a vibrator that is soooo on the brink of dying. Keep in mind that this thing is probably worth more melted down then as a vibrator. It makes weird noises now and stops randomly (can we say frustrating) but we have had some good times and I haven't broken her out in awhile so, yeah i need a new one.
2. it changes daily. but i love my rianbow scarf
3.I broke my middle finger
4.it's a tie. mel. she lives in columbus and i saw her last night and my boy
5.yes. she freaks if i don't talk to her at least eveyr other day.
holagatita:
wow, I'm off SG a week and you already shot your set and had it rejected?! Was that the set you were just talking about shooting a couple of weeks ago?! Or is there another set in the works?
It's a great set by the way, I don't know why it was rejected!!
And the profile pic of you in your bra & undies is just YUM!

1. What sex toys do you have/have you had? I have a vibrator but I don't use it very often, I prefer my own hand and a dvd smile, I use to have some other butterfly thing, but I don't know what happened to it.
2. What's your absolutely fav item of clothing? I have a pair of jeans that I'm quite fond of, and some t-shirts I wouldn't want to part with.
3. Had any broken bones? yes, nose (car accident), wrist (skateboard accident), clavicle (car accident)
4. Who is your best friend? WHy? I'm lucky enough to have 2 best friends. My friend Margaret is my oldest and dearest friend (I've known her since I was 10), I love her because she's an awesome person and because we have so much in common and such similar tastes, plus so many great memories. And SurlyMike I have only known for a little less than 4 years, but he is one of the best friends I'll ever have. He always makes me laugh and I have so much fun with him, and from the moment I met him, I felt comfortable and happy to be around him. Plus he's a travel nut like me, I'm so happy we travel well together!
5. Have you called your mother this week? yes

I just got a yoga dvd from Netflix, it's called "Crunch: Candlelight Yoga" with Sara Ivanhoe. I'm going to try a couple and see which one I like then hopefully buy one. Let me know what you end up with and if you like it.

Holy crap is it a nice day!

I just took a stats exam. Yucky. It wasn't that bad, though, I thought. And I had heard that this one was supposed to be killer. I even missed two lectures for the material covered. Maybe I'm just getting back to my old brain-setting. My writing is becoming a little more coherant and intelligent too. As I said...

Nothing like a great day outside to boost your appreciation of Herr Gauss and his probability distribution function. To speak nothing of improving your wordsmithing.

SG is indeed a fun playground... specially Smutty Stories. I love hearing fantasies of dominant women. wink
makebelieve:
uh you don't have to explain your complicated relationship to me because I'm in the exact same one. With an Army guy. I saw you in the IBT group and now I read your blog, so yeah. Everything you said about your relationship with Matt is EXACTLY how my life is going. WEIRD! So it is good to know there is someone else out there going through the exact same thing I am. Confusing and complicated. I was supposed to go out to see him this weekend but he had to work frown. SO hard!

If you need someone who can relate, it's me.
And I am so buying Borat on Tuesday.

Bummer, y'all. They don't want my set.

And I'm over it.

I ended up being in a really good mood all night after reading my rejection letter. (I got the form letter this time. Last time they were so much sweeter and told me to resend as soon as I had anything. I still got another year for free. haha)

You can check out the...

Short response paper for Philosophy of Human Rights. Regular blog follows.

The idea of feral children tugs on the ends of about eighty-six-thousand different strings of thought. The result is a twisted knot that I could explore and untangle for hours. However, I will only discuss one aspect of my feral-children-string-theory now (y'all are lucky in that respect) and take it to a logical place...

I feel the same way about that lamp cluster, I wanted to dive in. biggrin

How funny, I've been grocery shopping for my mom since she had her ankle replacement and I wanted to buy her a healthy cereal since she was also diagnosed as diabetic not long before her surgery, and I've been buying her the Kashi Go Lean. It looks good, but I haven't tried it because it's sweetened (I always buy unsweetened cereals and then try to jazz them up with fruit and nuts).

Congratulations on your shoot!!! So you came up with an idea? Is it a secret? I want to know!! biggrin Is it a 3 girl set?! eeek

1. What is your favorite comfort food? mashed potatoes & gravy or macaroni & cheese, cereal always make me happy too
2. What is the grossest food in the world? wichity grubs
3. Do you read in the bathroom when you go numbah two? What do you read? nope, I'm never in there long enough
4. Where would you go for a mini-non-dream vacation this weekend if you could? Palm Springs.....home of my favorite vegan restaurant AND hot springs and warm weather!!
5. Who do you think will be the nominees for Pres from both parties? lame and lamer

waldo_jeffers:
While working out, eh? Ha ha!!!

I look forward to you new shoot.

I hope you sort out your grades. Can you do an extra course to make up the credits?

Hope you have a good weekend with your man. Sorry to hear he has been called up.

1. What is your favorite comfort food?
Peanut butter or houmous.

2. What is the grossest food in the world?
Dandelion leaves are pretty manky. I like to try out Wild Food (e.g. 1 & 2). When I was a child, my mum encouraged me to take an interest in the natural world and she used to make salads using all kinds plants, such as nasturtium leaves and flowers, which are quite nice, but her choice of dandelion leaves was not so great. Just try eating a dandelion leaf and your mouth will hate you for the rest of the day!!!

3. Do you read in the bathroom when you go numbah two? What do you read?
Yes. I read whatever book I am reading at the time. I mean, I don't have specific books for the toilet and specific ones for elsewhere. Sometimes, however, if I am in a hurry, I grab whatever book is nearest to me en route. Often, however, because I am a bit of a daydreamer, my mind drifts off and I sit there for ages thinking about all kinds of stuff (philosophy, science, making plans for the future, remembering the past etc) and then come to with a start realising where I am.

4. Where would you go for a mini-non-dream vacation this weekend if you could?
A non-dream holiday? Do you mean something a bit low-key and not too expensive? I guess I would just go somewhere not too glitzy where I could get away from it all for a day or two. It would probably involve either appreciating scenes of natural beauty (e.g. walking in a forest or on the moors) or visiting ancient monuments or even wandering around museums and art galleries.

5. Who do you think will be the nominees for Pres from both parties?
Dunno.

Notes and annotated bibliography for the discussion I'm leading today (regular blog follows):

The Uncanniness of Female Jewish Faith
Medieval Hebrew Women Poet

Women and Jews both lived on the margins of medieval Christian Europe. Though one a gender and the other an ethnicity/religion, the two were compounded in several ways by the controlling social forces of Christian Europe. Both were monsterized for being something...

Period.
Like I find certain types attractive, but I don't really fetishize them.

Blah blah.

So the snow was mostly cleaned up when I went to work last night. Well. . . My street was still fucked like a one-legged hooker, but the sidewalks and main roads were clear and I could at least get in and out of some parking spaces. "Some" being the key. But then last night when we left the strip club, there was...

My grandfather finally passed late Tuesday night after a very drawn-out and painful process. Some of you have heard the horific stories of the past 7-8 months. My heart hurts (and my tummy from my nerves), but I know he isn't suffering anymore, that the painful waiting is over.

My mom sent me a text earlier on Tuesday morning saying, "they dont think grampa will...

I think to have a full life, we have to learn with the gains and with the lost.
We have to move on, keep going to survive.
It's a process, a part of being alive.
Sorry about your loss, but I'm sure he would be happier if you show you can pass through it.

Kisses, girl.

Masculine Power and the Crisis of Being a Woman in La Passion Beatrice

The opening scenes of La Passion Beatrice set the tone for the film: a knight leaves his family behind to pursue the violent glory of battle. He kisses his wife who stands by dispassionately, the expected fear and apprehension missing from her eyes. The...
