I got an iPod Shuffle on Saturday and it has significantly improved my Monday. I filled it up with my favorite Chicago-area bands from when I was a wee lass and have been listening to various Slapstick family tree bands, among others. It totally puts a smile on my face.

the ska/punk scene was HUGE when i lived in Chi-town, so being a 19 year old asshole, i decided to rebel angainst the rebels and head straight to Liz Phair land and stay there. I did go to Lounge Ax a couple of times on ska nights.
