Life is good.

New hair. Inspired by Klute. I've never had a $300 haircut before. eeek

No, no, I have my methods, those of you who really know me, know that I never pay retail for anything. Well, 99.9% of the time. biggrin

2 angles. The color is somewhere between both shots. It doesn't feel FRIED anymore like it was from all of my color experiments this...

hi
estrada:
I may have to see these productions then.

Wait, which episode of My Boys were you in? I think I've seen all of them.

I loved Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.

I'm glad that I finally watched American History X tonight. Yeah, it's been on my list for a long time.

In other news, my Psychology term paper came out better than expected. I offered a sacrifice to the math gods so that I would pass and hopefully get a C, but we'll see. *waits in anticipation of next week

My Psych teacher will let me...

I saw Blade Runner : The Final Cut on Friday night.

Pretty seamless, the new scenes. Other subtle differences, as well.

A spider bit me in between my eyebrow and eyelid.

eeek

It really fucking sucks. The day after was the most traumatic, with my eye almost swollen shut. frown

blackeyed

Now, it's going down, but my eyes look completely different. Thank goodness I can hide behind my glasses.

Aaargh spiders! I got bitten by a spider (I think) in May.. and the bite turned into a blister the size of a quarter, and then into a crater the size of a quarter that I could stick my finger into. It took almost three months to finally heal and was really, really disgusting the whole time. I now have a dark purple scarred quarter-sized dent in my right calf. The skin still peels off it for no reason sometimes. Eew.
mobprod:
That sounds thoroughly un-fun. Was good to meet you the other day too!

Borrowing someone else's words....

I think I was born strong-willed. That's not the kind of thing you can learn. The advantage is, you stick to what you believe in and rarely get pushed out of what you want to do.

My pleasure, m'dam. Do come again.

MY ROMANCE WITH BLACK HAIR

I think that I was 12 when I first laid eyes on Siouxsie Sioux of Siouxsie and the Banshees. (She has her very first solo album coming out early next month. love

vicious cycle, indeed.

sometimes i wonder if we can ever truly escape ourselves. most days i usually think it's impossible. a part of me really likes that idea, and a part of me really loathes it. i just wish i could pick one and go with it, because it's mentally tiring otherwise.

as trite and myspacey as this sounds, thanks for the friend request. smile

Update.

I still feel horrid with the illness, but today, in less than 2 hours, I reprise my role as a college student. A 33-year-old college student. It feels like 13th grade or something.

Two classes, Math and Psychology. I am embarrassed, me, actually, embarrassed to say what Math class I am taking.

Can you guess? blush

Right now, I am working on my weaknesses and...

You're probably rusty, but it could be very fun.

I had to take pre-algebra during my second year of school despite having taken Algebra my freshman year of college.

I then found a loophole and transferred so I wouldn't have to pay for another class like that.

Almost 3 years ago I started bartending one night a week. I had no real experience in the service industry at all, I just kind of picked it up as I went along. Then once I developed a good rapport with the customers, the rest just kind of fell into place until I was working full time. Then after I had my son about a year ago, I just kinda eased back into working picking up shifts here and there. Hopefully I'll be full time again soon. I miss the money.

I definitely recommend a small neighborhood joint over the nightclub scene. You can make SO MUCH more money when you can spend time talking (and sometimes flirting) with your customers. Even if it's not really high volume, it can still be so much more profitable.

I AM SO SICK. Meh. frown

Stress, stress, and stress will do that to you. It's only after we've lost everything that we are free to do anything??? I also cannot turn my head to the right, from being so tightly wound up and also from sleeping incorrectly. UGH.

Random oh yeah...apparently, the last time I worked on the show Californication, it happened to be on...

I've been so terribly shitty about contact due to being incredibly UBER antisocial lately. There are things that I've wanted to do, but I haven't been able to reach out for a little while now. It doesn't seem like things are getting any easier, for the moment. whatever

Between intense financial stress and some other things that I'd rather not discuss, I've been even MORE withdrawn....

I've been with WaMu for four years and have nothing but good experiences, other than the time I moved and filed my change of address with their then-brand-new online change-of-address form that didn't work (but the last time I used it a few months ago, it worked just fine).

I owe you a beauty product afternoon. If you'd like to go to the MAC store this weekend, just say the word. I'll buy (within reason, of course). biggrin
fixer:
I also have nothing but good experiences with WaMu.

I truly hope things get easier for you soon.

I'm not sure what lessons that I am supposed to learn now, but yeah.

THE FREAKS COME OUT AT NIGHT.

So a few random things:

1. The new Happy Mondays album, Unkle Dysfunktional, is very good. I'm pleasantly surprised.

2. It's way too fucking hot today. Currently 90 ish or so, friggin' disgusting. Why was I born in LA again?

3. I still have wayyyyy too many shoes. I've organized them in shoe tree thingies on top of my...
