I started on Geek Love a couple of months ago but never got too far into it due to reading too much other stuff. Have you read Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins yet? I read that about the same time, it was pretty good.

oh lord. way back when i was looking at colleges, i visited ny and wanted to take a look at brooklyn college (don't ask)...i was having a great time, walking around, thinking it was beautiful and "so east coast"...then we left the campus from a diiferent place from where we entered....all's i remember thinking was i'm in the fucking ghhhhetto. and me and my white ass ran across the street and into the closest subway station. yeah, i have no idea if it was the ghetto or not, or even if it was bad. but me and all of my eighteen years thought so.
