"No Woman, No Cry..." Bob Marley used to lift me so high with that one. I'm feeling the song in a whole new way this morning (at my desk, of course). Part of growing into a woman is knowing when to cry, when to mourne quietly, and when to stand strong for those around me. I love a good cry, but I'm learning that it...

Well it certainly is a different garden from mine! It looks quite sandy soil is it? Great for carrots!!! I love the way you have interesting looking beds, and loads of herbs around the outside (I think).... And you have a bit of lawn too (is that a labrador I can see poking his head around the gate!)

Check out my mostly lawn of a garden:

I grow my vegetables in a plot nearby, but not attached to the house, run by the local council. It's about the same size as my garden...20 metres or so? (er,..30 foot?)

...and yes your Welsh friend is right to a certain extent: it's green for a reason! IT rains a lot!! But Wales probably cops more of the rain than Cambridge where we now live. My tomatoes grow fine under a shelter and it's all in all quite mild...

Yes- you're right about my humbling moment. We have 2 girls, but that was the first one's birth.

Amazing.

Hello sista,
it's not a poem but a song for children, very popular in France, and maybe in some countries like Canada.

So what's goin' on in Sacramento ?
You like my songs (mp3 in the journal)

Cheers
FF miao!!

awww, that's the most precious picture of you, sad girl! i shall make you a scarf. for a multitude of reasons, but most importantly because you bring such a glorious amount of good energy to this place.

so we can do this one of two ways:
you can find some yarn that you like, send it to me, and i'll knit it up.

or, i can pick out some yarn, knit it up, and send you the scarf when i'm done.

this will probably take about 2 weeks.

unless you've already found a scarf. or it's warm in sacramento at the end of two weeks. OR you've got your heart set on a twinkie scarf. all of which i will understand completely.

TOTALLY wear that dress to the christmas party. you will look amazing! have you seen www.modemerr.com? good stuff!

MWAH!
cklarock:
^ She's a knitting fiend.

Thanks for the compliment. smile

Oh' my goodness!! If I don't hurry up, all of Twinkie's amazing scarfs will be sold. I'm going to fly over there before any of you...then you must check them out in Twinkie's Refrigerator!

O.k.--I'm editing to say that Chalko won't let me buy my own scarf and I'm really scared he's not going to buy me one fast enought...hurry honey, hurry!!

I...

Consider yourself warned -- If youre not at all a romantic, youll probably want to skip this journal entry and condemn it as sappy. Im going to talk about the end of a crush, a missed romantic opportunity, the regret, and the subsequent personal growth.

And to be super sweet (since were all so busy), Ill be brief.

Im over my crush.

When I turn...

I wish there were a machine I could just program commands into and it would spit out the scarf smile.

How about a little levity?

In my job--protecting unsuspecting hospital patients from the germs that lurk under the nails of every nurse and doctor that touches them--I have the important duty of updating our monthly "Commode Communication" bulletin. Actually this was my brainchild because I couldn't find any free bulletin board space to put up our monthy educational newsletter for the staff. So...I talked our...

well i for one would love to pee into those urinals!
Actually I remember some time ago being in an airport (Heathrow, I think) where the urinals had little black flies designed into the ceramic. I subsequently read that this makes the gents aim more precisly and cuts down the amount of splashback. We're dirty little buggers us men aren't we... smile

Thanks for the poem Chalka! ....it made me smile a lot... wink

And yes- I have to admit at having a bit of a fantasy about my wife with two men. Good point that you rose about who they would be. I guess I'd want to be involved cos I'd like to share in the happiness. But it'd be nice to see her getting pleasure from 2 other guys as well. I think it's some sort of perverse / reverse jealousy thing. Either way it works big time for me. Not so much for her. Well in the fantasy at least...... Funny thing is that the idea of me with two women doesn't do anything for me. Well. On reflection I guess it wouldn't be THAT tedious.... See what Chalko reckons.

Have a good un. I'll catch you later.

PS. My allotment is overgrowing, but I reckon I'm going to plant some winter veg, to keep it going. How;'s yours?
donnythebull:
sorry Chalka- it doesn't take much to confuse me!

have a good weekend guys.......... (I'll be digging!)

I was tagged so...

Twenty random things about me:

1. My hebrew name is Hannah Shoshanna (this is phonetically close, but I don't have the hebrew alphabet here)
2. My parents were hippie intellectuals and as a child I couldn't eat meat, sugar, processed starches, soda, or fruit juice (carrot and wheat grass was o.k.). We were only allowed to watch Mr. Rogers on TV,...

You might be right. I never thought about that.
wisteria:
Hi smile

"What would you say is the cruelest sting exactly?"

First...I don't like to share much about me. Some things are better left unspoken and move on to a better place within myself to find inner peace...but fuck...the "sting" will always stay.

But I will share with you Sweety since you ask... I love him with all I got...but that love wasn't returned. I'm a woman That is bound to have falling in love only once...if this love was not successful...there will never be nothing else left for me but to only love me. Yes I'm very existentual...it's in my nature. For the most part...I see things Black or White. Things in between are mostly bullshit.

Wow...is this too staright foward for you? Just how I vibe...

Thanks for asking wink

My thoughts on SG so far

Things I love:

Smart girls I find myself pausing before I post comments because I feel the need to impress girls who I fear may be smarter than me. (or at least spent more time in the classroom or with their nose in a book)

Sexual freedom So many open-minded people who get that the "rules" may not apply...

What a glorious overcast day today!

An entire wall of my office is floor-to-ceiling window; today I find myself distracted by the sky. Without the bright sun, I think the grass and trees seem greener. The weather person even predicted a slight possibility of rain later today--but I won't hold my breath. Rain in the fall is such a treat and I really can't wait....
