As far as what makes us different. I think that our consciousness is initially created by different things. Genetic differences. After that it is shaped by our experiences.

I'm somewhere in between. I believe in some form of divine power because I can't concieve of an ordered universe without one. But I don't really feel any connection. And I don't know or care if it judges me or what I do. Frankly I doubt that we are important enough to matter.
I do sometimes envy those who have some form of genuine faith though. Something more than my pseudo deism. Many of them seem happier, more fullfilled than I. I just find it sad that so many of them also seem to be arrogant, self righteous, ignorant & intolerant assholes.
As far as afterlife or consequences. Again, I wish I believed. I would love some sort of assurance. Because I believe that what happens is that consciousness just ceases.
And nothing is scarier to me.

I just woke up from a nap after working 30 hours straight. It's pretty funny to be at work and be so delirious that you start making fun of everyone and losing your motor skills so you walk into things.
