I felt pretty bad at work today.
There is a co-worker, who I have to work very closely with because of our intertwining jobs, I really don't like at all, but I also try not to be all out mean.
He resigned today which causes a sigh of relief because he has the worst work ethic of anyone I've ever worked with. He's not a bad person, but his laziness and lack of pride in his work drives me insane.
So as good as it is that he's going, I really feel awkward that so many people at work are coming up to me to say congratulations. Very awkward, but I guess it was pretty transparent.
I wish him well, and think he's better suited for his new position, but feel a little scummy for coming across that venomous towards him in other people's eyes.

Some people are hard to work with.

Did he leave your company? Or is the new position still there? If the latter, it'll be interesting to see how you two relate now that you don't work so closely together.
