Brixton Academy is a hard space to fill musically the bands I have seen there who have are the Pogues, Super Furry Animals and Underworld at their Farewell tour. A group that didn't were Goldfrapp much as I love them they didn't excel. I have also had a great time at gay Clubs I remeber going to Love Muscle at the end end of the evening all the platform dancers stripped totally off and kissed the DJ one by one I remember one having an enormous cock. Also a place I have liked is Popstars they play Superstition by Stevie Wonder which has got to be the funkiest song ever. The last time I went there I had been drinking all day and then I started popping pills. I went to a pub beforehand and have no real recollection of what I said, I hate it when that happens. I ended up waiting for a nightbus outide a minicab office where they were selling crack out of. It was that kind of night.

Do you think maybe what you are doing has been done before, loads and loads of times. There is such a thing as compliant rebellion. You want to be an artist so create don't do something that is manufactured. You are just defeating yourself it is a tried and tested formulae. Stop feeling sorry for yourself all of the time. You are a bit of a drugs bore - sorry. Try reality. Frank Zappa and Captain Beefheart never took drugs but they had soul and were the real thing. Regarding nthe magazine firstly it doesn't belong to you and you said you wanted to be published so you are scrawling some stuff in the margins, I think that middle aged couple were just being nice to you.
