I live in complete squalor - the teaspoons have limescale on them. My kitchens a biohazard. I have got a tin of frankfurters that just seem to be sitting there (they are open). And a tin of pacific salmon where you can see some lifecycles. Not very Zen. Another thing is I really like those seventies american muscle cars. I think I may be Travis Bickle. I worry about where I live; the police shot somebody dead outside the local chip shop a while ago. A security van got hijacked and there was an armed robbery at the local bank. I got out of my flat the other day greeted my neighbours - to be confronted by two people chasing the dragon. Also and I think this highly amusing but the manager of the Yates pub stabbed a customer to death I\'d say that was a rough pub. No wonder the police call this part of London the wild west. I do occasionally see Romanies riding around in a pony and trap. The thing is I am not making any of this up. London is getting increasingly violent and there seems to be Ghettoization like never before. There also seem to be a lot of Eastern europeans about. I saw a packet of polish soup the other day and it was made from pigs tripe. I have tried chitterlings and didn\'t find them particularly agreeable. One of the good things about living here is I live next to a motorway (M4) I find the sound soothing especially at night. There is an elderly black guy who lives here I\'d say he was from the Bahamas, he is like an ancient mariner I am sure he has some stories to tell. I think I quite like living on a council estate the people tend to be very pragmatic they also seem to have a certain amount of self respect, though I think lifes hard for alot of them especially the somalis God knows what they\'ve been through. I remember reading a book by Michael Connolley in it the detective explains his motivation for doing his job he says - everybody matters or nobody matters. Axiomatic. It is a lot better than some of the professionals I have met hypocrisy is everything to a group that always seeks to protect its status. Yes I do think I like the people here at least they don\'t ride around in fucking Volvos.
