Whew. Feels like a lot's been going on. Well, a lot and a little.
Monday night i was hangin in East Atlanta so i dropped by a friend's place on my way home. We ended up staying up late watching (and listening) as Frances rolled in. Somewhere in there we broke out a bottle of champagne. Awesome, although i didn't realize what those winds were doing until the drive home. One of the best unplanned nights in a while.
Tuesday, not so good. Let's skip Tuesday.
Wednesday (that's today) i found out my contract will most likely NOT be extended past Friday. That's disappointing as i've really been enjoying working with these people, not to mention the excellent location, commute, etc. Plus i was really hoping to get a few more weeks of work in before ICELAND!
In other news, IT'S ON. The motorcycle, that is. The orange one that all the ladies liked sold (alas) and i'd pretty much decided against the other one i posted. However, something better has come up. A '64 Honda Superhawk. The guy who's selling it bought it new. So what that i'm gonna have to drive half-way across the country to get it? Sounds like an adventure. I think i even have a road trip partner worked out!
It looks a lot like this (lousy pic):
It's also the exact model and year that Robert Pirsig, author of Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, rode.
Pirsig and son, Chris:
Finally, shout-out to Llona for the biscuits and tomato marmalade. You're the bestest.
