GOTDAMNIT!
SG is blocked from my hotel room. I actually wrote the hotel an e-letter about this before i came over after my experience last time. I don't really care if they block the pictures, but i want access to the site! Damnit!
So here i am at some sorry Internet cafe, the guy next to me is sleeping on his keyboard...
Yesterday was an off day, as first days overseas tend to be. I did walk around Oxford street a bit before a late nap. I can't say i was in the best mood, but thanks to Outkast, that improved dramatically later in the evening after listening to The Love Below/Speakerboxxx and reading some about London before bed. Good times!
What else...
. Maybe i'm a big geek (duh!) but everytime i fly i find it kind of amazing. Just thought i'd share that
. Breakfast at my (somewhat posh) hotel this morning: 15 (almost $30). Thankfully i heard this the day before and skipped it. I did, in a moment of weakness, get a coffee however: 4 (about $8). It was french press, but really...
. 17 minutes left on the cafe PC...
. Haven't heard from friends that were supposed to come in yesterday. Last i heard they weren't able to get the flight out they wanted on Saturday.
Oh yeah, speaking of traveling, i noticed a strange habit of mine. Basically, before i get on the plane for a long flight, i crave really shitty fast food. Last time i went to Church's, this time it was Burger King (a sourdoug bacon cheeseburger even, wtf?). I think it's more than just the fact that it's there (at the airport) and i'm a captive audience. And when i get on the plane, i almost always eat whatever crap they put in front of me. Maybe it's just a craving for some kind of stimulation. Anyway, chew on that...
Well, time's ticking away. Bye for now (mmmm... chicken!)
