Well, my meet starts at 9AM tomorrow morning. I think I'm ready. I've got a bag packed with all the essentials - lifting gear, caffeine, peanut butter, snickers, protein shakes, smelling salts, and pain killers. I've got my traditional Mohawk that I always sport at meets. Nothing left to do now but watch the clock. All of the hours spent in the gym come down to this. It's show time.
It's always about this time that my nerves start kicking in. I've never been able to eat or sleep for 24 hours before a meet. Somehow the nervous energy keeps me going right up until my final lift when I fall into a coma. By this time tomorrow the only thing I will feel is tired and painful. I probably shouldn't be a spokesperson for the sport, I don't make it sound to fun
On the bright side, my foster mother is coming to watch me lift. I'm so excited to see her, but I don't want to let her down.
Wish me luck friends!
