I just wanted to write this while I am still in pain. physicall pain actually, I'm not being emo here. Today I went through the certification to carry and use OC spray (Oleoresin Capsicum) **military grade pepper spray** Part of this certification is to be exposed directly to the spray. It burns like you cannot imagine. I am not in anyway bluffing or exagurating the pain. It is the second time I have done it, and it remains the absolute least pleasant experience of my life. nothing has hurt more. honestly, nothing. The immediate intense, heartbreaking, unbeleivable pain wears off after about 30 minutes , the 30 longest and least enjoyable minutes of your life. your eyes swell shut, your breatthing is pained, your face feels , literally , like it is ON FIRE. like it has been lit on fire. everything burns, and the only thing that reduces the burning, ((the only thing at the site, although there are actually mixtures the help netralize the effects quicker)) is flushing with cool water, and air from a fan, and as soon as you move away from either source, you want to literally scream out in rage.
After these immediate effects, your face and eyes continue to have an intensely unpleasant burning feeling for the next couple hours. In my case, it died down after about 2 1/2 hours. HOWEVER. Should you sweat, it returns quickly with a sharp sting. When you shower that evening, It returns to the secondary effects and all the contaminated areas, burn sharply once again. ** I have recently exited the shower, hense the motivation for this rant**
If anyone has the chance to experience this, I advise you to avoid it at all costs. Im serious. Im not normally one for hyperbole. It is a pain I would wish on noone.
