Wow. Sorry you're in a little bit of a funk, but I understand that the grieving process can take awhile. I wish you lots of comfort while you continue with it. And, hopefully the wedding will provide you opportunity to help you through.  As to the baby, you go girl! I'd never try to tell people how to live their lives, and it sounds as though you really have had all the advice in the world. And it also sounds as though you, and the beau, have thought things through. You have a plan, and that is a hell of a lot better than most. So it sounds like you will be a terrific mom :) All the best of luck.

I listened to people and didn't have a baby when I wanted to.  Now? No baby. And every time I see that AT&T commercial with the guy questioning the kids, and the little girl that talks about her raisins turning into grapes?  Ouch.  Go for it, and good luck! Awesome!

Having dealt with death regularly from a young age, and then having a good run of it in the late 90's (14 deaths in 16 months) I completely understand your perspective. I don't look at death the same way anymore. I expect it and celebrate the life they lived instead. I still feel their loss but it isn't what I would call grief in the typical sense.
