It's always a little tough looking in the mirror after a long break from the gym, nothings quite where you left it lol. Best thing is a good work out buddy and some good music to motivate you imo. Fancy proteins aren't required, anything is good peanut butter, turkey, nuts whatever you like protein wise take some after your workout. It helps your body build muscle and reconstitute what you got after the workout. Your body can only process so much protein at a time so it's worthwhile to do some homework and find out what's ideal for you. A great place to start especially after injuries is the swimming pool. Swimming uses all of your muscles, adds resistance, and reduces the stress on your joints all at the same time. It's also great for cardio. I like to do laps, alternating strokes and doing leg lifts on the side every two or so.Β

Just do however many feels about right, then do a few more. Prework-out stuff is good if you're looking to workout 6 days a week or do two a days. It'll help your body recover post workout as well. I save it for when I'm deployed and have nothing better to do but work out and am looking to get the most out of my efforts. Good luck, hope that helps = )
