I lost an ex-girlfriend to suicide a few years ago. We weren't close like you and your friend, but we always remained in touch, and we were always fond of each other, and loved the other unremittingly. But she didn't see it that others loved her too, and she left us. I still miss her, but I always remind myself that she isn't hurting anymore, even if I could turn back the hands of time to have maybe called her or something. You never really get over it, but at least there's some solace there. I'm very, very sorry for your loss.
