Agreed! I’m in the healthcare cesspool with you. Several heart attacks and subsequent suicide attempts have left me with a bag full of 11 different Rx’s that I’m constantly shuffling my budget like a chessboard to obtain them anywhere near regularity. That has me tap dancing all over my state to reach doctors who can’t or won’t prescribe in multiple counties. I’m in Delaware and a few major Maryland health clinics are actually closer than many of my current doctors here. But Medicare won’t let me cross state lines! It’s ludicrous and if you ask me it’s downright criminal. I have a good working system for now, and I’m so grateful for that, but the slightest slip up on this pile of pickup sticks and it’ll all fall apart. I really don’t think this is how the healthcare system we have now was conceived, but too many greedy insurance underwriters using poorly applied algorithms to squash much needed care have ruined it!
