I cant agree with you more... For most major organized religions, when you look back on their creation the people were facing hard times whether that means plague, war, famine, persecution, etc.... The masses were growing unruly and no longer feared death. Things were getting out of hand and chaos reigned, the people needed to be controlled. They needed something to believe in, a reason to wake up everyday and endure their hell. They needed to be herded like sheep... Thus religion was born. It gave the masses something to hope for, that light at the end of their dismal lives. And even though it supplied the people with the hope to continue, it also brought about "discipline & order". And this was achieved through FEAR... Were no longer trying to live our lives to the fullest and become who we want, but instead were merely doing what were told when were told... Well I say fuck that!!!

Wow, I've had a really good day today, and I've done virtually nothing. Never underestimate the power of long walks and frantic dancing and bouncing off the walls in your underwear to the Ramones in your living room. Gets the old endorphins going! Yeah Must say, Pretty Damn lucky living here, Couple of hours away from some of the best beaches in the World, 4hrs away from the SKI fields, 10 mins away from the bush and 1hr train trip to Sydney. I never take it for granted.
