The Wacom tablets rock! I have been using them for years. Going back to using a mouse would be like trying to draw with a brick. Any designer worth their salt should be shot for using a mouse.
If the pen has the ability, some don't, be sure to set the thumb click button so you can left and right click. This will speed things up for you.

P.S. I helped this theater in Alaska with making all the costumes out of bamboo. Bamboo armor is sort of like that armor the kids wore in the movie Hook.

I hope you got a chance to get outside yesterday! I've been feeling a little down too, but I always get that way when the weather in Portland gets dark and cold.
