I FEEL YOU TOO.

SQUISH.

SF hasn't been too bad lately. The fogs rolls over the City and the surrounding headlands like a blanket everyday with clockwork precision. A few choice moments of rain. Disgustingly powerful gusts of wind through the alleys and roads. Personally, I like the howling it causes when I'm laying around my home. ANYWAY.

surreal You must return.

your eloquence and sense of wonder realized smack dab in the middle of an urban sprawl and decay is an amazing feat indeed. but i guess without the city, there'd be no Slayer concerts or Batman movies?

funny thing, i got my ouija board from a thrift store too. are they really that evil?

observation of the day's end feels
almost sacred.
as the sun's nightly retreat nears completion,
the day's birds chirp their last songs.
they are ever so sweet to me
and will not be forgotten
when moon takes her seat on the throne
and darkness reigns till morning.
i hold them dear, ears perked,
(now the dogs,
the duet)
till nests are full and
silence settles...

And I forget to make a comment on you reading Maldoror love I once had a dream to put Maldoror, Bataille and De Sade together in a kind of celebration of my passion for bdsm as lifestyle, and my passion for porn and psychologycal horror walking together, but then I thought that I was overreacting in my dareful desires. Maldoror was one of those books I read when I was teenager in my homeland.

It was. I have been diggin your bf's band lately. How is life in the world of rexx? What's the next epic adventure?

What is the one thing that makes you happiest other than people or pets?

I think for me it is a glass of bourbon and a super rare steak. Oh and ranch makes everything better. Ranch and sriracha on pizza. Yes please.

Totally rambling.

My dreams are typically reality-based yet with a tinge of surrealism and a dash of metaconsciousness. heh This morning I drempt that I was walking along the shoreline and a pelican flew low and rested on my left shoulder like he was a parrot or some crap.

I wake up, do my usual stuff and hours later I get a call from my mom. In the middle of the convo was some talk about her researching our family history. Apparently one of our families' crests features a pelican.

surreal

You could open a food truck that serves bacon-exclusive items with EXTREME!!! spice.

i love your evocation of the beauty of the urban landscape, i could see myself walking those streets.

i had the Iron Maiden burger at Kuma's. besides visiting a good friend, going to Kuma's was the only other thing i absolutely had to do in Chicago! if i lived closer i'd be tempted to go there once a month, at least.

steam rises curiously into the atmosphere
from its ceramic, sea-foam dwelling

i am perched in a corner of brick.
trees and grass,
exuberant,

a clear wall behind,
windows opening to the outside.
how pleasant. but how strange..
i never noticed
or had forgotten.
i welcome the heat,

You like the blues? I was already in love with you but now holly cow! lovelovelovelove My friend is a massive IPA snob so I will ask her. But really you should just come to beer mecca, AKA Washington. All the IPA's you can drink are on me. biggrin

Thank you for the compliments. It means a lot coming from a lovely lady such as yourself.

i like my room scattered with beer bottles, books, journals, and sunshine. smile
with a cracked window and the only noise being tweet tweet, woof woof, and an airplane passing by.

i remember being little and in the manner of most children constantly changing the vision in my mind of what i wanted to "be" when i grew up. i think two of the professions that...

Great blog as always.
As an employee of an airline for almost 25 years now, my advice would be to stay away for the stewardess business (although I am not one). For one, the ups and downs of the airline industry are mostly downs and very few ups. Yes, it's provided me with a job for quite some time, but more than anything, I feel I've just been lucky enough to dodge the bullets. Secondly, from all I've been told, people are only becoming more rude and belligerent. Thirdly, based on what I can judge from your blog's window on you, you're better than what that job is.
And I couldn't agree more about just being happy. With the help of a loved one and family, perhaps. Fuck everyone else. It's cliche', but you have to make today count. Quite frankly, tomorrow is only a dream until it actually arrives.
Best Wishes, Beautiful!

When I first moved here to Cincinnati one of the first things I did was figure out where the non-Starbucks coffee shops were. Thankfully, there are three or four good shops that are locally owned all within 8-10 blocks of me. They all roast their beans in this area too, including two that do it onsite.

silence outdoors
excepting the chirps of one bird
overgrown grass is a
wondrous vision to behold
in a moment of strong breeze
two candles burn,
nearly to their wick's end
smoke crawls through the room
from my last stick of incense
the blue octopus will be lonely
for awhile
a pint glass half full of pennies
not worth cashing
waits on the window sill

I would say Lone Star is the equivalent here and I've had my share.
Here's sincere wishes you find a good job; being out of work is often the antithesis of what rocks, even if you're handling it well.

To be honest, I have no clue what was going through my mind. My roommate had just woken me up so everything was still groggy. I remember thinking this can't be real. TV always says things and the news is always wrong. But when I saw it I was like Oh fuck, they weren't lying. Oh fuck, it's headed for us. So I grabbed my computer, my phone, the flashlight, and my cat and ran to the closet. I texted my mom because as soon as I saw it our power went out. I said "how the hell am I supposed to know where it's headed when our power is out." So she told me where it was and I knew it had turned and passed my apartment. But then I remember sitting there thinking what if it's behind us headed back for us and I just can't see it out of the window now. I had no clue of the damage til hours later when we tried to drive to go get food and there were people driving the WRONG WAY on the roads. Even then, I still didn't realize it had torn apart Tuscaloosa. I definitely got lucky as hell. But in my groggy sleepy, thinking this is a dream/nightmare, state of mind...I was unsure of where my camera was to take a photo (my friends took those two photos at my apartment) and I ran to the closet instead. lol.
