Savory

it is the quietest of afternoons..
it wasn't too long ago that i awoke from sleep,
sleep, for once, that was round
like the sleep of a cat.
now i am perched in the window
like one,
peering out.
the moon last night shone so brightly
that today
there is no sun.
the window is cracked,
that i may savor the smell of the rain,...

Yeah the ocean is my recharge. My family has a place on the NC shore, times like late fall, spring, even the winter can be some of the best. It can feel like I have the entire place to myself. Desolate majesty, which is I think how it should be.
I do live event production. In my case it's mostly corporate stuff - like the gig for Volvo.
Are yoiu still considering reinventing yourself?

Went to the French Quarter for a five day weekend, Wed-Sun. It's nice to have a couple of days without the crowds, I think. One evening we met up with a friend who lives there now and she took me to some places the locals frequent. Very cool.
I'd recommend one of the walking ghost tours if you return. It's a bit of a gamble, depending on the guide you get, but can be a lot of fun for the historic info and maybe a little sense of the uncomfortable. I should go more often; it's only about a five~six hour drive from Houston.
Although I would definitely buy a print, I think I would rather buy you a drink one day. I think you're someone special. Ack! How dorky does that sound! Oh well, hope it made you smile.
Later, Beautiful!

Practically my cats! They're my roommate's but I've been the only one taking care of them for so long. It's so funny how instantaneously they go nuts. I can't even believe black yoga is a thing but it sounds totally up my alley, too. Between that and shows, I'm jealous of how good you have it up in Pittsburgh. I'm looking forward to maybe seeing Ghost again but for some jackassy reason they're not hitting the southeast at all. Not sure what to do about that. What about the Marduk/Inquisition tour? Black metal may not be your favorite but Inquisition is so awesome in spite of/because of those goofy vocals. Both times I've seen 'em I was beyond fucked up. I haven't had a chance to check out Thy Serpent yet but did you see the other pictures of that hot girl?

Argh I know! Bolt Thrower would be effing AMAZING! I would be mostly excited for Iniquity and Carcass. Probably Pig Destroyer and most DEFINITELY Converge! It's on my to do list soon for sure. I seriously want to go to one.
As for the west coast... it's a big hardcore scene out here. There is virtually NO Doom or Black metal scene out here and Death Metal is very scarce. Usually down in Tucson which is a little over a 2 hour drive from Phoenix is where a lot of the good bands go but my work schedule usually doesn't allow me the time to make it down there since I start very early. BUT, I just got a new job so hopefully I can make it down there. I know Pittsburgh is probably farther from NY than Tucson is from Phoenix so I won't bitch too much lol.

I read others Camille Paglia's book. There is an essay about the Hitchcock's movie The Birds which I loved, and I recomend.
Vamps and Tramps is a collection of essays, it is unregular. There are good essays and weak ones too. As well is unregular Sex, Art, and American Culture: Essays.
Life is not so good with me trying to still find the correct path to my projects. I wrote this:
Sketch for a possible manifesto
One of the things that has always motivated me to like the porn made in the 70s, is the fact that since they were already damned for using explicit sex in the narrative, it allowed them a freedom to approach the topics proposed. A great boldness that sometimes meant that films were made without any concessions to the canons of the genre or the wishes of the public. That's what I think, when I imagine what I wanna do with scripts and try to develop ideas. Why do not make a political porn dealing with issues of gender, and religious policies regarding sexuality? In my opinion, a good work of art is cathartic. And a porn can be. Cause weeping, laughter and extreme excitement. As a sexual act in bdsm lifestyle. BDSM moreover, that still needs to be better played pornographically. Fetishes need to be worked narrative, dramatic and visually in a way we would say "larger than life". I am fascinated with the myth of the Beauty and the Beast, the Polish director Walerian Borowczyk once explored the myth in an almost explicit way in a movie called La Bete (The Beast), it was beautiful, exciting, a grim fairy tale for adults. Always I think about this movie, and also in Crash by Canadian David Cronenberg, as possible visual and atmospheric influences. I want to make porn that reflect my artistic, my philosophical and my sexual nature. Even if that shock some people.

Larry the spider is an outside pet. He lives on one of the drain pipes coming off our soffit. He had a HUGE spidley web the other day when we met... I was going out to mow the lawn when I spotted him... Soon as I started the mower he packed up and just hung out on the pipe (as pictured).
Yay for the set!!!
