It goes,... dragging one haggard leg at a time.

So the thought that I've been enthralled with lately is the notion of creating a proof about self-absorption (inspired by all the pretentious fucks in athens... seriously, who cares about your music, clothing, etc. Why all the cliques?) So it would be similar to the "is hell endothermic or exothermic" essay, only dealing with someone so...

living here in a college town, and refusing to act my age, i've made friends and acquaintances with many a transient student type, for better or worse. it's probably good that i never really meet or hang with anyone until they only have a year or 2 left here.

unfortunately, ive been self absorbed, but i like to think it's less than i used to be.

If it could be Spontaneous Combustion... maybe the world could be a better place...
less crowded...

oh, and Placebo is really good... a shame that I listened to them so much that now they got kinda wasted to me.. =/
but I'm used with doing that shit with music too... listening to the same band for a month or so, then changing for a new one...

oh.. and friend-making really sucks bad!! specially because after 'bout 20... or 200 "friends" latter, when you needs them, you find that only 1 or 2 are worth it...

Kisses!!!

Wow, apparently it's been quite a while since I have posted anything on here. I guess it's about time to catch everyone up on what's been going on in my life.

I graduated this past semester with an Anthropology and German degree, and proceeded to go on a drinking binge for the month of May to celebrate. For those of you who have been keeping...

Congratulations on the academic success and contnuation:

synopsis:

The case I've worked on for 2 years settled which is satisfying because now ground zero can get rebuilt

My back is giving me amazingly bad trouble still so I'm ooking at maybe a 5th operation. That would suck

I've been watching the mets look great and then crappy.

and none of the above really matters because after seven years of being superpicky, I found the woman I want to go the distance with. So, there's something to be said -- a LOT to be said for pickiness, for everyone really. No one wins when they aren't picky.

Oh and I went to jazzfest in New Orleans for the first time with my friend Jay. He and I had a really great time. That rocked! Always have loved that town so amazing, but never had been to jazzfest, and even for NOLA it's a special weekend.
iagobrass:
Beep!!

not that it was meant for me anyways, but why not join the Chorus?

Study situation: Not too good, but for little time!! graduating still this year, but a bloody research to go with it!!
Job Situation: still missing..
Everything else: Booooooooooring!!!

Kisses!!

Boys who wear makeup are hot. Too bad I live in a po-dunk town.

On a new note, I think Placebo is one of my new favorite bands. I don't know how I never managed to listen to them before now.

"Fascist America, in 10 easy steps"

guardian article

I know, I know.... it's comparing huge to a smaller scale model, but I thought it was interesting anyway. If you want a summary, there probably isn't anything in the article that you didn't already know.

I believe it.
We've definitely moved more and more in a corporate-fascist direction since he's been in office.

Fortunately I think we have enough checks and balances, such as number one an election next year which will flush Bush and crew out.
And I say if we could impeach Cheny or Bush and put Rove behind bars it would be a great American triumph.

painunbound:
Yeah but here we have a couple things that 1940's Germany didn't have. Mixed population and stirring up racial tension in this country is like shooting fish in a barrel. After the VT thing I was waiting for all the Korean to get rounded up and interned. So where do you want to run away to? Canada, France? I'm thinking China it might not be great right now, but in 20 years who knows.

Now I can not only write shitty poetry in English, but also in German. I'm not sure if I should be happy about this. I just know that I had to do it for the worst class in the world.

It's meant to be about the parallels between the fall of man (from the garden of eden) and the fall of man from the trees...

It makes me sad to know that our fellow thinker and my favorite anthropologist has passed on.

He will be missed.

God made mud,
God got lonesome,
So God said to some of the mud, "Sit up!",
"See all I've made," said God, "the hills, the sea, the sky, the stars."
And I was some of the mud that got to sit up and look...

I made my friends buy a bunch of Vonnegut books after I told him the sad news and he said,
"Who's Vonnegut?"

So I think I found it this time. Well, at least for now. Originally I didn't want to do pharmacy because of all the science and hard work, but I think I'm finally ready to actually put effort into my education. It only took me two pointless liberal arts majors being completed to figure all of this out.

I went and talked to the advisors...

ive thought of pharmaceutics before too but yeah the effort thing came into play so i thought if i ever did school itd be trade

my life goes something like... ive been unemployed for 2 months now and im convincing myself that being free gives me the ability to do anything without the job getting in the way... specifically getting a press kit of my band together to give it to a band whos taking it directly to the head of the record label and just any other band stuff like shows and being around for the mixing and mastering our latest recording

other than that i have nothing else on my plate

jumpkid:
I really hope I do.

And talking about the TBIAP stickers and the ATHF bomb scare,
last summer I was at work and my dad called me because they were talking about Pipe Bomb on news. Apparently at Ohio State(I might be wrong, but Im thinking it was Ohio State), a kid had a This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb sticker on his bike. Someone saw it called the police, who called the bomb squad, and evenutally blew his bike up for "safety precautions". Once he proved to the University that This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb is band, they bought him a new bike. So yeah, the next time I saw them play, I was pissed they didn't have any stickers.
Ha, yeah. Sorry if that story was long winded, incoherent, or random.

Happy St. Patty's Day!!! (I'll be in Savannah and unable to post on the 17th!)

If you haven't seen this already, it should make your day. Here's the original plus the rap someone made out of it!

I like the woman's crackhead theory!

HA! saw the original some time ago, love the rap though! Thanks for the laugh!

Hope you have/had a fun and safe Patty's Day!

Nice to see you again this weekend, even if it did take me approximatly 18 hours to remember that we'd met before. I'm sure I'll run into you in Athens sometime. Oh, and I totally passed you on 441on the way home. We called Meagan to say "Eat our dust!" but no one picked up. Too bad.

one reason i think it looks so good is because you have a nice jawline, and the length and contour of this hairstyle accentuates it nicely.

The ultimate show of vainity, birthdays. Only in a society where we have the time and money to waste, only in a halmark society can we biggie size our egos through celebration of the day we were born.

Either way, it's an excuse for me to go have dinner with my friends and throw a party. I'll catch you cats on the flip side. Just...

There's something to the alignment of the stars that's making everyone go crazy... or it's probably just that I never notice how crazy everyone is until everything in my life goes off on a tangent as well.

Either way, I think that I've changed everything for the better, and am in no means limiting the change any further. I've finally stopped smoking. This March 1st...

Congrats on giving up the cancer sticks, you'll be running marathons in no time. As for the hair, I'm generally not a huge fan of shorter hair so was a little bit disappointed when I read it until I saw the pics - at which point I realised it does look good, there's still the same beautiful face there so it's just like a change in the jewellery or something smile

Oh, and I reckon you should definitely do nursing. Even if it's only because the cookie told you to.
