I completely agree with you that train riding is the shit. Up north here, with the price and the all too common insane delays, it's not all that practical, but if I have the time, I ditch the car and take the train. I like traveling light ...walking around and soaking up the ambiance. The shots of Union Station remind me a little of Portland's station, at least in that particular era's architecture. It puts me at ease and adds to the journey. Sitting in a stately train station is so much more sublime than sitting in an airport.
