I'll be sorry to see you go, but you aren't alone. I believe you are the third person on my friends list that has posted that this will be their last year on the site. I'm on here a lot less too so who knows...

Happy December!

I love this time of year, for reals. I just need to figure out how to balance work, home, crafting & relaxing. What do you like best about December?

I like the festivities and all of the catching up with loved ones, the little rituals, decorating the tree. I like surprises and surprising. What about you and what are you makng this year?

I would have to say the lights and decorations.

I'm in more pain than I let on. And I think that sometimes people think I'm so easy-going that they can just say whatever the heck they want to me and I'll be okay.

I am not sure that I will be.

I've cried so hard this week that the swelling around my eyes just won't go down.

I hope you have less pain this upcoming week, both physically and emotionally.

*hugs

It's National Coming Out Day!

I'd love to, I really would. My close friends know, of course, that I am bi-sexual and I have been since I can remember. I would love to come out and tell my mother, but she doesn't believe that bi-sexuality is a "thing."

She is a-okay when it comes to homosexuality, absolutely. Her favourite cousin was gay, and I was...

My dad has always viewed sexuality as more of a continuum - some people are on one side, some the other, and many fall somewhere in between. Ultimately, it's a matter of what you feel and how you deal with those feelings.

Regardless, just continue being you - I think it's working for you wink
greaser:
Being born in 1975, I've seen homosexuality become more and more accepted by the mainstream throughout my life. Bisexuality may be lagging behind a bit, but I feel optimistic it'll be accepted by the overwhelming majority of people in the not-too-distant future. I wonder what your mother would say if you told her? It might push her to change her views.

I haven't blogged in a few weeks, so I thought I'd give a lil update on stuff and things.

We still have Seymour and Luna here, and the other day Heckler picked up four more kittens. Luna should be going this week, but she's bonded intensely to Heckler's cat. The kittens have taken over our bathroom, but it'll only be for a couple of weeks....

Marvel is made of tea, muffins, and awkwardness. With a dash of James Bond.

This summer:

* we fostered one cat and five kittens

* we took on a severely disabled Pekingese and gave him a life outside a puppymill

* I helped my mom paint my grandfather's house over the course of two days (just the two of us painting)...

I'm made of Horror, dreams, and shadows. With a dash of the East. Horror must be capitalized or the recipe will go awry.

There's so much cute in this blog, I don't even know where to beginsmile

I'm not sure I can thank Pomfelo enough for reactivating my account smile I am so happy to be back!

Lately I feel like I'm at work more than I'm at home. I'm not a huge fan of that, but we are trying to save for a trip to Disneyland next year, and every little bit helps! The boss (a former Olympic rower) brought in a...

You named a kitten Wil Wheaton? That's kind of funny. It's great you guys are trying to socialize some the feral cats. We have a feral cat TNR program at my shelter that seems to be working pretty well, but we do try to socialize some of the more friendly kittens.
