SuicideGirls: Dirty Laundry - Woolly Thinking

SuicideGirls love to get knitted, rock & rolling with ripping yarns that add color and flair. Those that take to the needle can express the punk rock DIY ethic with easily affordable, one-of-a-kind designs, that are as fun to create as they are to wear.

Fashion Notes
KnitzAndFeltz offers handmade scarves knitted in eco-friendly bamboo blend yarn. There's a range of styles, but we like this long and skinny, open knit one, which is finished off with a 5" fringe at each end ($25 from Etsy.com). * Fair Indigo sell fair trade fashions for men, women and children. We like their handknit popcorn hat, made from 100% merino wool ($34 from FairIndigo.com). * Those with a DIY aesthetic will love these striped, punk rock corset gloves. You'll find the pattern, detailed instructions and 'how to' videos at TheRunningYarn.com. * And for the ultimate punk rock knitted accessory, head over to Knit-Head.com. They sell handcrafted Mowhawk hats, which can be custom ordered in a variety of styles and colors -- we like the subtle all black Punk Is Not Dead and the outrageous red, white and blue, God Save The Queen versions. * Those who don't have $110-$175 to invest in a head gear right now might want to take a look at Knit-Head's Pretty in Punk book. It features 25 projects for needle lovers inspired by the designs of Vivienne Westwood and John Galliano, and is available in paperback ($13.57 from Amazon.com).

Did we miss your favorite woolly shot? If so, upload it to our Woolly Remix Album HERE (the girls are also name-checked at this link).

Check back every other Saturday for more Dirty Laundry and let SuicideGirls show you the best way to (un)dress.

On a side note, check out Noir's website, folie. Her stuff is rad. I am the proud owner of one of her scarves.

Indeed. Noir is the only SG who can lay claim to having knitted an SG member from whole cloth.

I certainly support any excuse to be reminded of Rose.

Twinkie's scarf is awesome. I remember she always made lots of really cool stuff.

Thanks for mentioning me! This totally made my day. I was just looking at my website stats, saw a ton of links from this page, and couldn't figure out what was going on. blush

I don't have much up for sale right now, but I have a whole bunch of stock that I haven't listed, and I'm always open to custom orders if you don't need it immediately.

I really don't know why it is but I find chunky knit jerseys and clothing so sexy. I walked by a chunky knit jersey yesterday in a shop window with short sleeves and large collars and I fell in love. Imagonna go back soon and get it!
