Good heavens. I almost posted a pro-animal-testing comment to an anti-animal-testing thread. Whew... close call! If I'd actually hit "submit" instead of closing the page, I'd be a blackened lump of charcoal by now. A narrow escape.

I don't like cruelty to animals. I hate causing pain to living things (excepting only mosquitos and rats... I'm happy to make them suffer). No, really. Nor do...

I'll keep that in mind.
I will never forgive myself for not being in a better financial position when I went to Scotland. I got the plane ticket as a gift, but had to pay for everything else with plasic. I'm still technically paying off the drunks I had there, five years later.

That's why you shouldn't get drunk off of the good stuff. Aside from the fact that after a few glasses good scotch is pretty much indistinguishable from blended.

We found a few bunches of really nice flowers in June when we were backpacking along the Strait this year - I wish I had them digitally. They looked like Indian paintbrush, though I don't think that's what they were. Whatever the case, they were beautiful and contrasted SO nicely against the huge dark rocks we were clambering across.

I think I need to do some scanning at work before I'm done my job. So many photos that need to be digitally captured. smile
beledi:
I'll likely post some of them - but only the ones that I feel are 'good enough' wink

According to the D&D Personality Test I am a Lawful Good Dwarf Paladin. Except that I'm kinda tall for a dwarf. I do have a beard, though.

What are you?

I am a slave to the beep. My email program beeps... I drop what I'm doing and rush to check the mail. Mostly it's not important. Once in a while, it's something I need to deal with quickly. But not...

I'm kind of happy I'll be home on weekends so the email doesn't get out of control...but during the week it will definitely be a nice change.

My field work:

Location: Last Mountain Lake National Wildlife Area
Focus of research: Nestling ecology of the threatened sprague's pipit (a grassland passerine) - particularly related to parental care, diet, and food abundance in native and anthropogenic habitats.
Is it somewhere cool? I think so.

Right now one of the wonderful ones is in the same boat as me. At least her and I can commiserate.

All my jokes are falling flat on their faces these days. I really should just give up this "trying to be funny" thing. Clearly somebody else got all the "funny" genes. Alas.
