Experienced an earthquake earlier this week and now sitting around waiting for Hurricane Irene to show how much of a bitch she can be. Honestly, I'm excited. Ever since I was a kid, I've been in love and fascinated with the sheer force and intensity nature can be. I've almost been struck by lightning on three difference occasions, gotten in some scary situations just to be out in a storm and see it for myself.
Hoboken, Long Beach, Atlantic city and various other low lying cities have been evacuated. System wide shut down of the NJ Transit, MTA and Path systems. She's not supposed to reach Jersey until tomorrow morning so I'm dying of anticipation. The rain has finally started, I know the flooding will be horrible. I'm glad I don't live in Elizabeth anymore, I've seen nasty floods due to regular storms. I can't wait to see what the damage will be.
