Well, I've never actually met yumchen.
But.
She has an awesome username which I find oddly pleasing, she's always super-friendly and funny in her comments to my journal (prime example - "Wow, that sounds like a nap waiting to happen"), she's into sneaky subversive piercings, and the only reason I didn't add her as a friend long, long before I actually did is because I thought she was way too awesome to notice or care. (Wow, that sentence is really long.) I was right about the awesome, but wrong about the notice or care bit. She also reads good books.
I wanna meet yumchen for real - she's great.
