Waaayyy to much work for me right now.
I think that Jamie is starting to realise she was better off not being chosen for the position that I got. Next week it's going to be four 15hr days in a row to get caught up with credits before the end of the month. Fucking hell frown
troglodyte:
That's odd. Business has inexplicably slowed down for us. I'm actually ocassionally bored.

First week in my new position at work and things have been pretty interesting. A lot of learning for me to do, I basically have to understand every aspect of the computer system, and it really doesn't help that it's a still a work in progress. My brain is hurting from all the information I've had to digest. I think I'm getting it though. I...

Y'know, arguing with Uptight is just pointless. You might as well yell at a wall, for all the good it does.

Been really busy at work the past few weeks in the lead up to the inventory we had yesterday, so haven't really been at this site too much. The inventory went pretty good, I think, in terms of fixing the huge problems with the actual stock levels vs. what the computer(s) said we had. All of this occured because of the new system we installed...

A somewhat disappointing week with all sorts of minor financial piss off's

The Federal Government withheld my GST rebate because I had owed the Provincial Government money for Medicare payments. This is after I had already straightend the matter out. It seems that someone at the Provincial level "forgot" to pass the message on. So now I have to wait for 6-8 weeks for the...

I hate how government burreaucracies work. or don't work. The only people that get what they want are the cheaters, the honest folk get boned.

Holy fucking shmoley.....

Battlestar Galactica rocked this weekeend. One of my favourite tv series ever. Hard to believe considering how cheesy the original series was.

Asides from parking my ass in front of the television, this weekend was pretty busy. Had to go into work Sat morning for four hours to try finish off the work we left on Friday night. Had a kick ass...

I can't remember any episode of any genre of TV show that I have liked as much as Friday's BSG. It was everything that Sci-fi should be. When Tigh said "Not all of them" at the end? Holy shit was that was brutal for me. And what a space battle, it was spectacular.

I got a chance to catch up with an old friend this weekend too. It's a good way to spend time. I haven't seen some of my friends in far too long.

One of the few things that pisses me off is people who come to work when they are sick, especially those who don't cover their mouths when they cough. Thanks to Andrew being the "hero" I'm going to be spending the weekend in bed trying to get over the cold I caught from him. Is it really too difficult to grasp the concept of a...

Feel better soon man. I share your disgust with people who show up to work sick. It seems a fairly simple concept 'eh? whatever

I hope that you feel better soon.

There was a time when I could go and party all night, go to work the next day then party that night as well.
Not any more.

Went to the SG Burlesque show when it came through here last week and I had to leave before the girls even got on stage. It was either leave voluntarily or be thrown out for falling asleep. Not...

It's raining here. Glad I don't work outside. Summer abruptly ended, going from warm and sunny skies to cold and wet overnight last week. Already counting the months untill Spring comes again.

Got in touch with Murray on Sunday and made plans to go over to his place to meet his wife and daughter. We spent some time catching up, with him filling me in...

Getting frustrated with the new computer system at work. I realise it wasn't the intended to make our lives miserable but it has created more problems than, I think, are necessary. I've been working 12hr's a day due to computer glitches and nerves are starting to get frayed.
The IT guys are working their butts off trying to fix things but it just isn't happening...

Well the party was fun....
Unfortunately I fell into the greasepit in Angelo's workshop and fucked my knee up pretty badly. Nothing broken but the doctor I saw figures I tore some ligements and possibly damaged the cartilage so no work for me for the week. I did go in to the warehouse yesterday and tried to stick it out but since I can't walk,...

Pretty much, we need to rethink our one-size-fits-all society. Formal education is structured in a way that suits most people, but not all. It's a matter of being more flexible and accepting that not everyone learns the same way and that that difference is not a disorder that needs to be remedied.

Of course, this is unlikely to happen on a large scale. It's up to parents and individuals to find ways to work around things.
