I want to write something profound, but my brain has turned to mush. So here are some random questions for your pondering.

Why is it that good moods are fleeting, but funks tend to last?

How is it that time slips by so quickly?

Why are there 8 hot dog buns in a pack?

Why is it called an air conditioner rather than a cooler?...

I like buns. wink

Yes, the fleeting moments are what I notice as well. Those moments are about the only thing I store. Impressions, movements sum up people and situations for me as memories. I rarely keep photos or memorabilia.

Your trip sounds lovely.

Today is the day I turn the corner. Today is the day that I stop making excuses, and start making things happen. Today is the day that I force myself out of my slump and to quote the army, be all that I can be.

I feel as if I have let a lot of people down, but mostly I feel as though I have...

I'm about to e-mail you my cell phone number too. That way, if something happens and you get snagged at the gallery for a bit, then you can at least call and meet us out somewhere at NIOSA. I hope you can make it! smile

I am getting out of town for a few days. This is a good thing. I have been feeling a bit trapped. I think that is one of the reasons I keep feeling a bit down lately. I really want to get a fresh start. Move some place new, sell off most of my stuff and pay off a lot of bills. That way I...

OKAY, WEIRD! Do you mind if I ask what your connection to Woodstock is? Are you refering to one of the towns? (NY? VT? etc.) or the festival? Or the bird from Snoopy?

I noticed your psuedonym in a thread in the PSW group, and got really curious, because 1) 10/27 is my birthday, and I guessed it might be yours too, and 2) I was raised in the town of Woodstock, NY. So I just had to ask.

Thanks! And I hope your days off were joyful and rejuvinating! smile

Thank you for leaving such a thoughtful comment on my journal. smile

I'm still toying with a lip piercing partly for the same reason I love yours: I hope it will emphasize my full lower lip.

Thank you for sharing yourself in PSW. kiss

Off to sleep now. *hug*

Its just such a nice feeling. And I'm the type of person that rarely gets nice feelings. Thank you for liking my set. smile I've seen your sets and I like them a lot. I haven't commented as much as I should, but I'm still kinda new to the site so I'm working my way through things. I agree on you with the body thing. I'm getting there too. Right now I feel like my body is nothing but a big blob of fat really. I just want to get down to a point where I'm comfortable with myself. You know?

Aww yay! I used the right word. haha.

Another day, another dollar. Well, not exactly but you know what I mean.

For those of you keeping track, I played softball again last night, and we lost.... again.

It is getting pretty sad. We have won one game and that was through forfit. We really suck. Well, part of our problem last night was that not everyone showed up so we were a girl...

You HAVE to post pics of you playing softball. That sounds like so much fun - even if you're losing.

I keep looking for kittencaboodle in my friends list to write to you and then I go DUH it's woodstock - damn stoner memory.

I'm pretty sure I'll be able to photograph that bank... it should fare better than our other '70s memorabilia.

Such as our stuffed dolls of Hamburglar and Mr. Peanut that my brother took out of the attic, thinking of selling them on eBay. My mom wrapped them in a red rug in the basement, just before Hurricane Isobel caused flooding... the red dye ran... blackeyed

Hope you all had a good Easter. I changed my screen name back to my original one of Woodstock1027 from kittencaboodle. So don't get confused. smile

I just can't seem to shake these blues. I really don't know what to do. I feel like I am stuck in a rut of self loathing. Or more to the point, loathing in general. It is not nessisarily directed...

I still have to take pics of the bank; forgot to do that... it's a bit tougher doin photos for me, as I have no digital camera.

I woke up and went "I don't wanna go to work," but then I did because I say that every day. I say it on my days off too, to just... re-establish.
xartificialnight:
Aww thank you! And I hope you cheer up soon. Everyone is depressed lately. Maybe it s the weather.

My brother emailed me this story about my 3 year old nephew. I thought it was hillarious.

"The funniest thing he has done lately was this morning. We were sitting in the recliner together and he said, "look Daddy, I'm stretching my booty!" I looked down and he had the pulled skin of his scrotum in both hands out of his underwear and looked like...

Nothing like amazing nature of skin and it's elasticity. I did that once too, of course it was at a bar on my 21st birthday. Oddly enough, the bartenders response was the same as the fathers, except for the whole, here's my number. Now for the gross part...HE was a big bartender!
lightsneeze:
haha...that's cute...I hope he doesn't end up like my old roommie..."hey..look ya'll...I sat in some gum!!!" apply it to your story...hence...some gum. You have a great easter as well!!! kiss

I was very disturbed today by an article I read at MSNBC this afternoon. Some church re-enacted "The Passion" movie except replaced Jesus with the Easter Bunny. Here is the link:

zephyra:
Oh, that's just wrong (about the passionate easter bunny).

Well, I got some really crappy news yesterday. My cousin who is in the army and is in Iraq was attacked yesterday. He is ok, but he was shot in the heel. He has been over there less than a month. He was trained as a medic and he was patrolling the streets looking for insurgents???? WTF? I think someone is not telling us everything....

Wow, you certainly have enough reason to be vaguely blue; if I knew anyone who was over in that fuckin' war... puke

I'm reminded of "Don't Go Back to Rockville" by that second-to-last sentence. Walk home to an empty house/ sit around, a-all by yourself ...not really a good thought in inself, but I love that song. whatever

So put on a record. kiss biggrin

Ok, now today is really the day. I am going to clean my house if it kills me, and that is a real possibility. hehehe. I played softball last night. I played catcher, so I was up and down all night. I am really, really sore today. So I am really fighting the urge to just crawl back into bed. On top of that, we...

None to worry-- I don't mind long comments of pretension. I find when I space out particularly, I tend to talk to myself without actually thinking about what I'm saying... so I'm often confused by what I am saying.

yes, san antonio is a bit far! maybe the next time we have an event in austin you can make it there... i know we have a roller skating party planned, "death on wheels"! i think there is even a san antonio event planned for sometime soon, just check the sgtexas group for all the sorted details. whenever we have dallas events the peeps from austin usually carpool... so maybe the next one you could drive in to austin and then ride along from there, they make stops from austin all the way up here to dallas!
if you want, add me to your friends' list.. that way i can keep better track of you and keep ya informed... and maybe next time around you'll know me and the others well enough to not worry about meeting us.
*leaves out of breath... what a mouthfull*

Today is my day off, so I must, must, must get to cleaning my house! I have put it off for far too long. mad

But where to start...

Random thought of the day:

Did you know that your body cannot tell the difference between a sneeze and an orgasm. Your brain can, but your body can't. Ever notice how your nipples get hard when you...

Well good luck trying to get the house cleaned tomorrow. smile
