Life is too hectic right now.
phedra:
I know people have said it enough, but I am so sorry about what happened to you in New Orleans. I understand a little, I lost everything too, my family lost our house and almost everything else. Good luck to you. kiss , *HUGS*.

i no longer care about anything that i used to own. i can start a new life. but for god's fucking sake somebody has to save all those people that are still there.

i'm in new england now, and all i keep hearing is how people had no idea how bad it was. they're asking me if i'm on vacation. i don't think people quite...

From what i've been hearing through the grapevine is that there was minimal looting on magazine street. The rest of uptown didn't really have looting. I'm hoping thats true. I still think the looters should be shot, but so long as they're sticking to stores and not homes i feel a smidgen better.

Oh man ... I think your profile is even more heartwrenching than your journal. I'm so sorry for what you are going through. I'm glad you're okay.

we're currently in new jersey. my hometown is being looted, my neighborhood is being looted. all of the guns from the uptown wal-mart have been stolen. prisoners have taken children hostage.

we'll be in boston and providence over the weekend. the best news i've heard is that the hotel i work for was able to evacuate all the guests and employees that stayed it out....

Hey man, I'm a friend of Mle's and after what happened in New Orleans, I thought of you. I was hoping you made it out alright and I'm glad to hear you did. I know it'll be rough to get back on your feet, I can't even imagine having to start completely over, but you can do it. Be strong.

It's been hard to grasp the enormity of the whole situation, but after looking at the satellite images I just can't help wonder if that city will ever be the same, but having witnessed the resilence of NYC I have have faith that it will.

Best wishes, Tom.

The Great What's Next

I leave for Vietnam tomorrow morning at 9:31. I've spent the last two weeks changing apartments, working and running entirely too many errands. And I still don't think I'm done. But it's better.

My new place has stained glass windows everywhere, large parlor doors that seperate the rooms, 10-foot windows and 15-foot ceilings. I have a solid brass sink in the...
