SUCCESS!!!

I got the manager job at Home Depot! I go in Monday morning to finalize $$, and set up a training schedule. It's been over two months... God I was going crazy. I know I'll feel SO much better once I start the job.

Congratulations!! That's fantastic! Now that you're a manager, does that mean you're working for The Man... or are The Man?
popmonger:

And what is it with Nicole Kidman and tiny little men?

It's a power thing. She can stomp on them if they displease her. At least Keith isn't as wee as Tom.

**Update**
Just had the meeting, it was actually a coaching session with the HR manager, the forum interview is Friday morning at 8:00. The HR went over the questions they'd be asking (Everything I already knew and had good answers for). No sweat, just a matter of time now...

And YES J, I want my health insurance so can go to the E.R. when I...

My father just sent me a little video of my Grandfather (taken this summer) who just passed away a few weeks ago. Only 5 MB or so, he was testing the video function of his digital camera on a visit to N.C. My neice and nephew were going to be going out there to see them a month after it was taken, and my Papa...

Seems like we never get a chance to spend the time or say the things we need to.

It's a blessing that you have that small glimpse of him, like a precious jewel.

Go ahead and cry, it's good for you, then go forward with your life. Think of what your Grandfather would want you to do...

I'd say more, but I put my words someplace. It's not that I lost my words. But someplace? Someplace is around here somewhere. Well ... someplace was somewhere, yesterday.

Just got an email from my Dad. This afternoon my Great-Aunt Elizabeth passed away.

She was my Grandma (Who died of cancer when I was 5)'s sister, thus my Dad's aunt. So my sister and I called her "Aunt-Sister". That's all we could pronounce as toddlers, and it stuck. Just as my Grandpa was "Papa", she was "Aunt-Sister". She also lived in Georgia, and I'll...

I've surrendered as well. I've the alcohol in the fridge to prove it. And most of my dreams are death dreams and very bloody.
It's not even Christmas. Usually it's much closer to Christmas before I give up.

Now, about the man you're building for me. I want him to be a bastard! A hard, tough bastard! A tough, hard bastard with a pumpkin for a head.

I just kicked the very sharp edge of a table base, and now there's a bloody chunk of meat hanging from the bottom of my right foot. Now that I'm unemployed, and no longer have my insurance, I have to bind it up with band-aids and hope it sticks. A few stitches would probably work better...

Jeebus FUCK this hurts! blackeyed

Use super glue.

Appletinis? They have Apple ones? I've no idea if I'd like 'em. I've never had a Mar one.

And, when I typed "more than the average bear", I told Lindsay you'd have SOMETHING to say. tongue

In the morning I plan to continue the "list". Not looking forward to it since the next girl is my ex-wife, and it's not a very good story.

I'm still having a lot of trouble dealing with my Grandfather's death. No one here knew him, and all of my family live 400 miles away at the other end of California. I need more family greiving...

I guess it's comfy. The thing is ... B & C bras are cute. D bras ... well ... In the store, I took the cups and started banging them together (they made very little sound) and I was saying, "No way! I am NOT a D. They look like empty halves of coconut." Yeah so ... Lindsay was right. whatever
Dee is for lots of things. Death. Dust. Darkness. Demons.

I LOVE lycra!! Lycra or nothing at all!!
Lycra or nothing at all. Hmmm ... two reasons to have a boyfriend.

Nice slow weekend...

Shannon came over, we drank lots of tea, watched some baseball, had some wonderful sex, and watched "The Little Mermaid", and "Lake Placid" on DVD.

No travel, no babysitting, no airports, no funerals... just me and my girl enjoying the weekend.

I needed that. smile

I peed in a cup today!

That either means I was really comfy and didn't want to get out of bed, or I got a job and had to go for the drug screening. Guess which one it was...

Boss? Good deal! Maybe you'll have as much fun at work as my boss does.
Today, my boss stepped out of his office while I was wrapping a tape measurer around my chest to find my accurate bra size. blush To make it even worse ... it was his tape measurer. blush He just turned around and went back into his office, while saying, "I've been scarred for life." When I took the tape measurer back to him, he told me I could keep it. I asked, "Don't you have anything to measure?" He said he didn't. I said I figured as much.
I should really start using my quiet voice. biggrin

Back in California, flew in from NC yesterday afternoon. Last minute plane tickets meant lots of connecting flights. I've been on 6 planes in the past 5 days. Tiring, but worth it. I'm so glad my family helped me to get back for Papa's funeral. I'm glad I got to say goodbye. I was one of his pallbearers, along with my Dad. It was the...

My grandfather, my Papa, William Aloysius "Bill" Donnelly passed away this afternoon at the ripe old age of 85. He was my favorite person in the entire world, and my best friend. When I was 16, he and I spent 2 1/2 weeks together on a sailboat cruising around the Bahamas. No other family, just the two of us. He'd laugh and tell me stories...

Sorry to interrupt the parade of perversion....

I had a job interview today for a Loss Prevention Investigator with Home Depot (The company I worked for, before the job I just lost). It went really well as far as I could tell, I hope to hear back with good news soon. But I called my Mom and Dad to let them know how it went,...
