And thats pretty much the entirety of my knowledge of Afrikaans. Aside from the odd word here and there, Afrikaans was one of those languages that eluded me as I could never find a program (academic that is) that taught it. Much like Swedish and Finnish and other "minor" European languages it is hard to find schools that teach it. Even when I was all up in the Cold War, finding language schools that taught more then just Russian was hard, it really took some time for me to get into a Polish program, and ended up with Russian instead.
So, SG'ers, anyone speak an exotic language?
